Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

Reviewed: May 14, 2011
This is the BEST pie crust recipe I have ever made! I halved the recipe and had no trouble getting a double crust for a standard 9 inch pie dish. It made my rhubarb pie shine. Thank you for sharing.

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2010
This recipe is outstanding and always enjoyed to the very last kernal of corn. I substitute butter for the margarine. Butter makes everything better, I have to agree with Julia Child and Paula Dean. YUM, YUM!

Creamy Pesto Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2010
After reading the other reviews I used half and half instead of sour cream and had plenty of sauce. I put the basil, pine nuts and 1/2 of the half and half in a food processor and it was wonderful. Would be plenty to put on pasta, if desired. Salt was needed.

Apple Rhubarb Crumble

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2009
This crumble has been a frequent hit at our table. Even my children who think they don't like rhubarb, like this recipe. And apples are a much more common fruit in the average kitchen over strawberries. I add a 1/2 cup of oats to the crumble top and it makes it even better.

Fabulous Homemade Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2008
This bread has a nutty flavor and even my children, who do not like "wheat" bread, raved over it. One amazing thing about this bread is that unlike store purchased bread, it has no preservatives, yet it lasts for a very long time(7-10 days) on the counter before it begins to mold. I did learn a lesson about the use of my Artisan Kitchenaid mixer. It can not accomidate more than 8 cups of flour, so I had to half the recipe. Otherwise, the dough gets all jammed up in the workings and when it rises the dough pokes out of every nook and cranny. It was a MESS to clean! Don't try it! Thank you for this wonderful bread recipe!!!!
