Baked Parmesan-Crusted Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2014
I wonder how many people who are reviewing this recipe saying the spices are too much are using dried instead of fresh as called for. When using dried spices you ant to use less. In fact there's a 3(fresh) to 1(dried) ratio. So if it says 1 tablespoon fresh, you want to use a third of a tablespoon (or one teaspoon) of dried. In other words, you'd want to use 2 teaspoons instead of 2 tablespoons of dried... and lemme tell you, when doing that, this recipe is absolutely amazing. I honestly would not change any of it. I even used a butter substitute that was half the calories, and it still tasted great. It's best when right out of the oven. I made some the other night, had a couple, and the next day I tried microwaving the left overs and it wasn't nearly as good (maybe shoulda tried the oven)... but either way, these are fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing, I love making this for people and usually make it along with some home made Mac and Cheese.

All-Day Apple Butter

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2013
I never made apple butter before but I got curious when I saw it on TV... oh wow it's really good. REALLY good. Though it came out more like jelly or applesauce... I don't care. The taste is amazing. Thank you for this. It's great. I can't wait to share this with people.

No Fuss Shredded Beef Tacos

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2012
This was so good... the only problem is... as others have said, there's a lot of liquid. I used a strainer to get out the meat and tomatoes, but it tasted really good. I'm going to work with this a bit. Thanks so much for sharing.

Ultra Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: May 29, 2012
It's surprising how much flavor is added by boiling the potatoes in chicken broth instead of water. Thanks for the tip.

Parmesan Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 29, 2012
Okay first of all, let me give a warning to anyone who's making this for the first time. If you have more than 2 porkchops, don't double or triple the bread crumb recipe. Just make it as you need it. I had 6 porkchops and ended up with waaaay too much of the breadcrumbs. Having said that, this recipe is really delicious. I've made various pork chop recipes over the years but this one is my new favorite. It wasn't too difficult either. Thank you so much for this . I can't wait to make this for my family.

Buttery Yeast Spritz

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2011
Aha! Thank you! I was looking for the best Spritz Recipe. I brought some from the store the other day... and decided to try to make my own for Christmas. These are so much better... now the store brought ones are just sitting on my counter not getting eaten. Oh well I guess that happens XD

Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2011
These are amazing. My only problem was the dough was very dry .. but the cookies came out fine so I guess it doesn't matter. And I got everything to work just fine with cookie cutters and what not. Thanks so much. I'll be making these for Christmas

Sweet and Sour Sauce I

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2011
Yeah, idk, maybe I did something wrong, but this just doesn't taste at all like sweet and sour sauce. It's just... like sweet ketchup or something. I tried both with and without modifications but I'm just not that impressed. Sorry.

Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

Reviewed: May 24, 2011
The only bad thing that happened when making these was that I felt the dough was too sticky at first. This of course was fixed by adding more flour, but I also halfed the recipe so maybe that messed something up. Either way, they tasted great and I especially liked the glaze. I think I'll try variations with frosting and maybe sugar doughnuts and what not

Easy Ice Cream Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 22, 2011
These are way better than store brought, that's for sure. It's a little hard to get the correct amount of ice cream in for the first try though, but I think I got it now. I'll certainly make these again, I'm surprised at how easy they are. Thanks

Moo Goo Gai Pan

Reviewed: May 19, 2011
I had half a bag of Japanese stir fry in the freezer, so decided to fry that up, and basically follow the rest of the recipe for the chicken and sauce. I have to say I'm very impressed. When I tasted the sauce by itself I thought it wasn't going to be very good. Boy was I wrong. Thank you so much for sharing this. now I KNOW I don't need to go to a Chinese restaurant for this dish.

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2011
Made these exactly as directed and thought they were fantastic. Yeah a little crumbly but I guess as long as the taste is there, that's what matters to me. Thanks.

Peanut Butter Chicken Skewers

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
This was pretty good. I tried to use a nonstick pan like someone else suggested but that didn't turn out right. So I actually tried using my George Foreman Grill. I grilled the chicken strips for a couple minutes, then brushed the sauce on every 30 second to a minute. Made a huge mess in the grill but they tasted great. I still think it needs a little something else though. But certainly a quick easy meal.

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2011
I made these the other day the way the recipe said and thought there were too many chocolate chips. So today I made them without the chocolate chips, and they were excellent. So I had to adjust it a little, but I think without the chocolate chips, it works very well.

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
Well it was easy and my family liked it alright, but to me, it just didn't have a lot of flavor. The chicken was nice and juicy, but I just would have preferred more flavor. Thanks though.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
So... I'm really not sure what's up with the people giving poor reviews and saying stuff like "This tastes just like a cupcake with cookie dough in it"... that's... what it is XD I don't get why some people think a recipe is going to magically turn into something else when they make it. This isn't Paper Mario people. And for crying out loud, if the recipe calls for something you don't like, use your best judgment and fix it up a little. Now that that's out of the way. This was the first time I ever made cupcakes. It seemed simple enough. I followed the recipe exactly and was really surprised with how well the cookie dough blended in with the cake mix. However, the taste wasn't out of this world. I was expecting a little more. They weren't bad by any means, but they weren't quite what I was expecting. So I give 3 stars for taste and one extra point for creativity. I think I'm going to experiment with this a little and use other cookie dough and cupcake recipes.

Hard Taco Shells

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2011
I tried to bake these and drape them over the cooking rack like another user suggested but they kept falling off XD So I just went for frying and, I really liked them. And they're so much cheaper than the hard shell ones you buy at the store. If they aren't as crispy as you want after you fry them, then go ahead and put them in the oven for a bit. But not too long, you don't want to burn them.

Chili Seasoning Mix II

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2011
I guess I forgot to rate this. Yeah I won't use store brought mixes ever again. This is way better than them. Even my mom loved the chili I made and she's not a chili person. Thanks so much. I did omit the flour as some suggested.

Buffalo Wontons

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2011
Whoa, these are really good. I wasn't sure what to expect, the recipe was so different from what I normally make. I had some left over wontons from a soup I made a few weeks ago and I needed to use them for something but didn't have enough for more soup. Some of the wontons edges were kind of hard, so I threw away the hard parts and some of these ended up bite size. But I loved them. I'm really impressed. Thanks for the recipe. Really glad I have it in case I have left over wontons again

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
Well this is certainly an easy chili. Like most people I used the chili mix from this site. Okay so I figured out why it was dry the last time I made it, I used tomato paste instead of sauce. I can't believe I didn't catch that. After making it with sauce and 1lb beef and 1lb sausage, it came out as some of the best chili I ever had if not, the best. I will certainly make this again, thanks so much for sharing.
