Parmesan Broccoli Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
Yep, YUM! And crispy! No salt, used garlic powder. 1/2 C. Butter only, 2 eggs (might use 3 next time), and used 3/4 C. Parmesan, 3/4 C. Cheddar. Delicious! Course black pepper adds a kick. A shake of basil adds depth as well. Baked for 17 minutes and they came out crisp and perfect. Boyfriend loved it, and he's not a stuffing lover. I'll keep this one for the next finger food appetizer I need!!

Mini Meatloaves

Really tasty! Quick & easy. Did add cooked onions, worchestshire sauce, pepper, it was great! The recipe is small enough that you could cook these in your toaster oven. (A nice option if you don't feel like heating the house so much, or if you want to be a little more energy conscious.)

Ham Broccoli Braid

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2011
This might become my new FAVORITE comfort food!!!! I made a few tweaks, but this recipe could be SO versatile, you'll find yourself trying new combos on this pocket of goodness! Instead on a long loaf, I made 2 smaller loafs, each stuffed. Perfect entree size! Great for entertaining! I also used sour cream and some yellow mustard in mine, as other reviewers suggested, and pre-sauteed my onions. I did not need any egg wash for the top. It was golden brown and crisp and perfect. I did have to bake the smaller guys for about 5 more minutes than recommended. They were delicious and creamy and homemade tasting last night, and I brought the leftovers to work today- and they taste GREAT microwaved today too! I can't wait to make more of these. They would be good with turkey & cheddar, taco fixings, chicken peas and rice, you name it! THANK YOU Horton for this recipe!

Scalloped Corn and Broccoli

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2011
Made this to the "T", minus the sugar and salt, like most reviewers suggested. it was tasteLESS. Very disappointed. You'd have a mare enjoyable and tasty side dish just steaming the broccoli. I'd either add sugar and salt AND pepper, or just steam your broccoli and be wowed instead. Disappointing- I love broccoli, and am always looking for new twists.

Cheddar Herb Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
WOW! This tasted so fresh and delicious! I made it twice: once with Parisian loaf (which was much crunchier and a hard bread), and once on deli rolls (very soft). I could focus more on the taste of this spread when the bread was softer, and not so hard to get my teeth through, but consider toasting the soft bread a little for a little crunch. DELISH!!!

Really yummy and easy! It's still good about 4 days later reheated. A very unique taste- if prepared as top-rated reviews suggest.

Herb Spread for French Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
Wow- this is really amazing! It tastes very FRESH! My first go-round, I put it on Parisian loaf, which is fairly hard bread. The second go-round, I bought French Rolls (near the bread in the packaged-bread area of the deli in the supermarket.) Those seemed to be a bigger hit because you were a little less focused on not breaking teeth, and more focused on intense flavors. This is so easy, once mixed, herbs stay green and fresh for at least a week too. Delicious. I'm trying to think of more places I can make this stuff for. THANKS for the recipe, Jennie!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
Uh... muh... gawd!! This was exceptionally delicious and out-of-this-world tasty!!!! I followed the advice of the first 4 reviewers, and SO glad I did. I never really like beef stroganoff. I keep thinking of excuses to make this again though. I cooked it for 5.5 hours, and just had it sit on 'keep warm' setting for about 4 more hours- perfect!!!!!! Thanks for the recipe Jessica!!!

Easy. Had no problem. Used the crescent roll dough- worked like a charm. All traces of marshmallow disappear once cooked.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Used 2-1/2 lb meat, but same amount of ingredients. Was excellent. Also added some Worcestershire Sauce. This was excellent on some sliced french bread. Yum. Very rich tasting, and not too salty. Will make this again- perfect for football season!

Pistachio Cake III

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
This is very easy to make, (followed the recipe exactly.) However I really didn't taste much Pistachio at all. So- I probably won't make this again. It was a little disappointing. And guests wondered why the yellow cake I made was green. :-( (Because they couldn't taste the pistachio flavor either)

No taste really. Made this exactly according to directions. Was very tasteless besides the sausage. Needs onion, maybe peppers, maybe seasoning salt, I dunno- something. Won't make this again.

Baked Sweet Potato Sticks

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
I just eyed my spice mixture. A dew tablespoons of olive oil, a tablespoon of garlic powder, some lemon pepper, and a tablespoon of paprika. Put them all in a ziploc, put in one large sliced sweet potato and sealed ziploc bag, shook it all around to cover everything. Poured onto a foil covered cookie sheet and baked at 350 for 40 minutes. Came out soft, sweet and really good and filling!

Yummylicious Japanese Beef Croquettes

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
Very yummy! For my mix, I chopped 4 potatoes for my mixture, then separated it in 2 bowls. In one bowl- I mixed diced beef and onions, and in the other bowl, corn with a little more pepper. (The corn croquettes were always my favorite while living in Japan.) Then made the patties and such like the recipe instructs. They were both delicious. My boyfriend actually liked the corn one best. Both were topped with Tonkatsu sauce. I found the trickiest part was making a good sized patty, and getting them to not fall apart while doing the egg- and Panko'ing. I'll make these again! Thanks for the recipe!

Tonkatsu - Asian-style Pork Chop

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2009
Oh YUM! To be honest- this is my first experience frying something for real- in a frying pan. It was delicious! I followed the recipe exactly. The secret may be in the thinness of the pork chops. Also- we put some tonkatsu sauce on them once served. But some we just put a little lemon juice on- both were delicious! Served over a bed of rice with a side of fresh steamed broccoli. I will make this recipe OFTEN.
