Diet Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
This is a very forgiving and easy to customize soup! I added celery, corn and some very small pasta to this soup to make it a bit more hearty. I used a can of diced tomatoes and a small can of tomato sauce to make the broth a bit more flavorful. It turned out wonderful! An inexpensive, healthy, and great soup for a cold day. I would definitely make this again!

Dumpling Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
This was great! My husband are it up like crazy. I did make quite a few changes though. Alterations I made: *I used red potatoes *Added about 5 stalks of celery *1 can of Corn *Substituted the 1 teaspoon of salt added with potatoes for 4 teaspoons of chicken bullion seasoning *Added the whole package of bacon While frying up the onion and bacon, I added the celery to that. I cooked all this up until everything was caramelized and very crispy. It's best to make sure that it's crispy otherwise, it will be too limp and soggy when added to the soup. And while the potatoes were boiling, I adding the chicken bullion seasoning. Near the end, I added the corn. It took about an 45 minutes after the soup was done cooking for the soup to get nice and thick and more flavorful. The leftovers were great!! 4 stars because I added more to it to make it just right but overall, this is a great recipe!

Amaretto Divine

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
not the BEST cake in the world but it's good. i found that the coffee creamer made it taste a little artificial. i wouldn't make it again but am glad i tried it out. it looks nice when finished and turned out very moist, just the actual flavor of the cake and frosting wasn't completely right. sidenote: went to two stores to find amaretto creamer and couldn't so i used french almond flavor creamer.

Homemade Fresh Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
great pie. although, i have to say that you can't tell the difference between fresh pumpkin and canned pumpkin. to me, it wasn't really worth going through the effort of roasting a pureeing the pumpkin when you can just by the canned version. none the less, a great tasting pie. canned or fresh. :)

Pumpkin Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
This turned out amazing! I added a can of green chilies, used 2 green bell peppers, lots of garlic, and lots more chili powder. You can't really taste the pumpkin but it's still soooo good! Better the next day too.

Hot Spiked Cider

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
This was delicious! I made it for a potluck and there wasn't any left after about an hour. I didn't think it was too strong at all. I added a bit more rum and cider as well. A very easy and festive drink for a party!
