I live in a small maine town and theres not alot here. If you blink you are through it. Ive been cooking since I was 10 years old, and have just made it all better in the past 29 years. Cold days mean the ovens gonna' heat up! Baking is my maine squeeze!
My favorite things to cook
I love to make pies and cookies, cakes and brownines, and I never get complaints. My freinds know when I cook they are always going to get a little something from it. I have yet to disappoint them. I also enjoy roasts and slow cooked meals, ya gotta love the person who invented the crock pot. Big meals that take up the whole stove-top and oven are mouth watering days.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving, is there a better day to cook? MMM MMM MMM, I love the holiday cooking!
My cooking triumphs
Apple pie, and my popular Whoopie Pies, frosted holiday cookies, and Uncle Gordons ginger snap cookies, soft in the middle crunchy on the outside.
My cooking tragedies
Fudge, I just cant get it.

Cranberry Sauce
I made the recipe with 1/2 c brown and 1/2 c white sugar and the 1 c orange juice. I Simmered it for the recomended 10 minutes. It's still warm and I cant keep my spoon out of it. It's thickening as it cools and the berries mashed up nicely. Sweet then tart flavor, I LOVE IT. I made it today because I wanted a trial run before I set the table for 20 people on Thanksgiving Day. I will definately make a bowl of this cranberry sauce and i'll also have on hand some canned sauce for the die hards. I'm going to try grape juice the next time, has anyone tried that?

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings
These are great. What else is there to say. I dont know where they came up with it but I am some happy they have it here. I made it last year and didnt rate it,,and my husband is waiting for Superbowl this year just so he can have some more. I have ot give 5 stars, it excellent.

Basic Flaky Pie Crust
Love this recipe. I was always using butter as opposed to shortening and the crust always seemed tougher. I am not one to over mix either so it was somwhhat frustrating. I use this recipe now whenever I make a pie, it comes out perfect each time an people say my crusts are excellent..
