Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
I just don't get it. Maybe the Teriyaki sauce I used didn't have the right flavor, but I thought this had a wierd taste, and I love both Teriyaki and Ranch dressing. I thought this recipe couldn't fail with the ingredients, but I disliked it very much. I made it exactly as the recipe stated.

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
ok! Sometimes I get tired of being the one who rates a 5 star recipe badly. Maybe I am a picky eater. I don't know. Anyway! I made these two times. The first time I followed the recipe exactly. Exactly as written above. No changes. It got 2 stars, because the meat was bland and dry, the cabbage was a PIA, there was too little sauce, and it was a PIA to cook the rice. Too much work and it didn't taste very good. This time, 4-5 stars. I read the reviews (DUH!) and followed other reviews advice. I added onion soup mix to the meat, quadrupled the sauce, (all ingredients, was delicious), added uncooked rice, cooked in the oven at 375 for one hour instead of the crock pot, and best of all, I used bagged shredded cabbage. EASY! I spread cabbage on the bottom of a glass baking dish, rolled the meat into balls and placed them over the top of the cabbage, placed more shredded cabbage on top of that, and added sauce all over the top. DELICIOUS!!! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, was because the meat seemed the tiniest bit bland, even with the onion soup mix. I think next time I'll try minced garlic, or even adding some of the sauce to the meat mixture before rolling into balls. But I will definitely make it again like this. SO EASY and good!!!!!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
This was my first attempt at lasagna, and it turned out pretty good! I used real ricotta from the market and am not sure if that was my problem or not. It turned out more 'rubbery' than I am used to and I think it was because the cheese was too hard? That being said, the recipe was great and the sauce was so good! I would double or even triple the ricotta mixture, especially if you are using fresh ricotta and not grocery store bought. I barely had enough for two layers. All in all, I think I'd probably make this again if I had time.

Sauteed Corn on the Cob With Chili-Lime-Cilantro Spread

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
pretty good! Was a hit with everyone. Alot of work for just a topping for corn on the cob, but the flavor of it is so good that I want to use it as a dip for chips. Also, I never thought of cooking corn on the cob in the microwave but it was so easy! thanks!

Jif® Peanut Butter Blossoms

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
These were delicious except for one thing... I don't think there was enough peanut butter in them. Everyone that tasted them agreed, and one even asked if they really were peanut butter cookies. I'd use this recipe again but I am afraid if I add more peanut butter on my own, I'll mess it all up. So sorry because I love these. I found a recipe that is almost identical but with more peanut butter.

Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2007
just OKAY. Nothing spectacular, tastes like Cool Whip and pumpkin. I served these with cinnamon graham cracker sticks and the taste of those totally overpowered the dip. In fact, everyone that tasted them said, "whats in this, cool whip and pumpkin?" I was like, "uhh yeah and vanilla pudding mix too...". Not sure I'd make it again, unless I was really tied up for time and needed something quick.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2007
My first allrecipes.com review ever, and I have to chime in on the great reviews! I tried the recipe exactly as stated. I love ginger snaps but am not a fan of how hard and crunchy they are. These come out soft and so pretty! They could pass for real professional looking cookies! yummmm
