Cheeseburger Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2014
We really liked this soup. Forgot to add the sour cream at the end. It should be called cheeseburger potato soup, since there are more potatoes in it than burger!

Slider-Style Mini Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2014
Most of us loved these. Used about 1 1/2 lbs of ground beef and about 1/2 pkg of onion soup mix and 12 rolls. Put extra cheese on top of meat mixture before putting the bun tops back on. We liked the sandwiches better with dill pickles other than without.

Bacon and Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2013
AMAZING! The only thing I did differently was added a teaspoon of minced garlic to the sauteed mushroom stems and onions. Served as an appetizer but these would also make a nice main dish. Will double the recipe next time as I only got to eat two and my hubby and son scarfed down the rest!

I typically do not like potato salad but LOVE this one. I do not add the sugar. Did add salt and pepper and real bacon.

Weeknight Chicken Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2012
This was time consuming but delicious. I would not have time to make it on a weeknight. For the sauce, I misread the recipe and mixed the soup with sour cream but it was fine.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2012
This is very good. I doubled the recipe and got 3 regular sized loaves out of it. My son could barely wait untill they came out of the oven. He packed his lunch for school the next day just so he could take some in his lunch!

Hurricane Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2012
I would give this 10 stars if I could. I made this for my birthday. I only used 1/4 cup margarine with the coconut. I used almonds because that is what I had on hand. I only used about 1 cup of powdered sugar. I baked it in a bundt pan instead. Very decadent and yummy!!!

Simple Slow Cooker Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2012
I used all ground beef instead of sausage. I also added A1 steak sauce. I found this to be dry after 6 hours. The family did not like it.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2012
Delicious. Will get several meals out of it. I added 1 onion chopped with the chicken. Cooked on high for an hour as directed but accidental turned it down to warm instead of low. I didnt notice it for 3 hours! I turned it back up to high for about four hours and it turned out perfectly.

This was good. The mistake I made was not to peel and seed the squash first.

Mini Cheesecakes III

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2012
Excellent! I left out the lemon zest and juice. I like that this recipe makes a small batch because there are only 2 of us who like cheesecake. We ate these plain without a topping, and they were delicious.

Easy Pesto

This was my first time making pesto. It was really easy. I was worried that the blender would not blend it properly but once the oil was added, it worked fine. I froze this for later use.

Chocolate Mint Candies Cookies

I made these for a wedding reception and they were a big hit. Made them smaller and only used half of a mint. A little time consuming but definitely worth it!
