About this Cook
I am a college student going for a business degree. After college I want to learn the trade of candy making from my uncle. Than start my own candy shop in the mountains of Colorado.
My favorite things to cook
Anything sweet and I am really good at it. I can not really do anything else and I do not enjoy it as much. I mean, I can cook "real food", it keeps me alive, but nothing really spectacular.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family always makes homemade sticky buns on Christmas morning. Yumm...
My cooking triumphs
I have made a 3D octopus cake for my nephew's 4th birthday. It was beautiful and really good.
My cooking tragedies
I made a caramel that did not set up right, it was WAY to soft. It still tasted really good, but it was very stick and difficult to eat.

Cranberry Sauce Extraordinaire
This sauce was great. I made to for Christmas dinner and it was simple to make and it was so yummy. For the dried fruit I had dried strawberries and blueberries. I know they are not the fruits you think of at Christmas time, but I was late getting to the store and it was all the had. Anyway, the blueberries were SO good. They complimented the cranberries so well. I thought that I wouldn't be able to taste them, but they were the second thing people tasted. It was very good and went very well with turkey.

Michelle's Peanut Butter Marbled Brownies
High altitude bakers is recipe is great. I live in the mountains of Colorado and it worked great. The edges came out a little tougher, but that happens with every brownie recipe I've ever tried. The taste was great. It was like a basic brownie with peanut butter cheesecake mix in it. It was rich and very good. I made it for my brother in-law's birthday and everyone enjoyed it very much. So for anyone that lives above sea level might want to try this one out.
