Chicken A La Orange

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2011
I made this tonight, 02/04/2011. I was happy with the way it turned out. I read most of the reviews and everyone seemed to say it was lacking something or it was too tangy. I had cooked chicken breasts that had been seasoned with Ms. Dash and I used those. I just started the recipe at the sauce and added the chicken to it until heated through. I tasted the sauce and I did end up adding some brown sugar (2 tbsp) as others did. I doubled the ginger, added 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes, and 1/4 tsp crushed rosemary. BINGO! Very yummy. I served this with green beans and red skin mashed potatoes. I loved dipping my taters in the sauce. I will make this again!

Weeknight Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
I have made this over and over! I always double the sauce, but still only use 4 chops. I always follow the recipe to a T, but tonight 01/14/2011, I added sliced green onion (scallions) and about a tablespoon of pre-minced garlic. Super delicious. Try this with chicken, too! Don't balk at this recipe because of the semi-strange ingredients! It's perfect!

Pierogies and Cabbage

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2010
OMGosh this was good!! I mean very good! fabulous! My 12 yr old daughter helped me make this tonight. Everyone in my family loved it...it's going into the regular rotation binder! I will be making this one over and over. Out of necessity I used a package of coleslaw mix from the produce department and I had no white sugar, so I subbed that with brown sugar. It was awesome!!!! How can you go wrong with pierogies and BACON! Mmmmmm

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
FABULOUS!!! Very tasty. Just based on personal preference I browned the chicken first, I just have something against pale chicken! I also added a lot of fresh mushrooms. I am serving this tonight over baked potatoes with snap peas on the side! I will make this often!

Cucumber Pea Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
This was very good and different from the usual cucumber or pea salads. I did add salt and hot shot pepper blend. I did not use the milk because I just felt it might make it too watery. Having this tonight with the chicken fajita melts from the site!

Green Eggs and Ham Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
I love this recipe and it reheats perfectly. We have had this for breakfast and dinner before...I just add some fruit and you have a complete meal my family of 4 loves. It is very easy to change the cheeses and I have even made this with broccoli before using the food processor to chop it finely. Go forth and experiment with this one...you won't be disappointed.

We love this rice dish! I always double it and make it in my rice steamer. I add the lime zest, lime juice, and cilantro once the rice has completely cooked! Thanks for the recipe!

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2009
08/01/2009~These were good, just good. I followed the recipe exactly and the next time I make them I will double up on the honey and mustard. I may even use Dijon mustard or a honey Dijon mustard instead of the mustard powder. They were ever so slightly sweet. I WILL make these again. Thanks for the recipe.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
Made this for dinner on 07/26/2009. Everyone loved it, which includes my 11 yr old, 7 yr old, and DH. Used powdered ginger as that was all I had. Cannot wait to try this with fresh ginger. Went great with broccoli and potatoes!

Baked Corn Casserole

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
I just made this yesterday May 24, 2009, for a BBQ. There was none left and EVERYONE wanted the recipe. I skipped cooking the onion and just added dry minced onion. I will be making this again and again. It went very well with BBQ chicken and ribs! I highly recommend doubling the reicpe, which is what I did. Thanks for a great recipe!

Dad's Pan-Fried Green Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2008
I make something very similar to this without the vinegar. I love the sesame oil with the green beans, YUM. I always add some type of nuts, usually sunflower seeds. Also good with some french fried onions on top as a garnish.
