Peach Upside Down Cake I

This is old fashioned goodness. The cake is almost a shortbread and the nutmeg adds the perfect touch. I didn't have any milk, so I used sour cream. I also added about 1/2 t vanilla to the batter. I will make this every time I have peaches. Thanks for sharing!

Grandma's Gingersnap Cookies

These are really good gingersnaps! I was looking for a recipe that was not as crispy all the way through as the one I have always used. I think the 350 cooking temperature helps with this as well as the ingredients. I upped the spicy factor and added 1/2 t cloves as another reviewer suggested. I also added 1 t grated fresh ginger and about 1/3 c finely chopped candied ginger to make them triple ginger snaps. This will be my go to ginger snap recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Yum, yum, yum! I was looking for a chewy, moist brownie. This is it! The brownie of my dreams. I did use half brown sugar, half white sugar as one of the reviewers suggested. This will be my go to brownie recipe from now on. Thanks for sharing.

Apple Strudel Muffins

Good muffins! Did add lots more spice than recipe called for. Put at least a tsp. of cinnamon and 1/2 tsp. fresh ground nutmeg. Had to add a little extra liquid (couple of T of half and half) because the dough was so thick. Melted butter for topping and added more cinnamon and nutmeg. The toppping did not sink into the muffins, they rose well. Did add 5 minutes of cooking time. I will make these again. Thanks for sharing.

S'mores Crumb Bars

Easy to make and wicked good! They are very sweet, but that's kind of the point isn't it? I used a little more butter and milk chocolate chips. I think I used more marshmallows than called for because I had some of those really giant marshmallows to use up which I cut into pieces. But... loved them and will make them again. Thanks for sharing.

Pumpkin Cake III

Moist and delicious. baked in a 9 x 13 pan then frosted with cream cheese frosting made with some brown sugar and cinnamon added. Also used pumpkin pie spice in place of cinnamon in the cake. Will make again. Thanks for sharing.

Hummus III

This will be my go to recipe for hummus.Good proportions of all ingredients - then you can add roasted red pepper or olives as you like. Thanks for sharing! It could also be made substituting black beans or black eyed peas.

Playgroup Granola Bars

These are easy to make and easy to modify. Stay chewy if stored in airtight container. Be sure to cut before totally cooled. These will be my go to granola bar recipe. Disappeared quickly. Thanks for sharing!!

Slow Cooker Creamed Corn

I am sorry. It looked really good. When it was cooked it was just bland and processed tasting. I think I want to like slow cooker food and I just can't. I guess I need to leave the crock pot alone.
