Lemon Scones

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2012
Delicious-I added 1 tablespoon of vanilla flavor (vanilla extract without the alcohol), sprinkled with vanilla sugar and toward the end of baking, brushed the top of the scones lightly with milk to give it a more golden color. So simple! :)

Great recipe-I added 3 additional tablespoons of brown sugar and sprinkled a little more with the cinnamon the last 5 minutes of cooking.

Golden Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2011
Excellent! I had only one pkg of yeast so I dissolved it in 2 tablespoons of warm water 110 degrees with a tablespoon of sugar. I let that sit until it was foamy on top. Added that into bread machine before mixing. Also, in lieu of shortening, used 1 stick of butter softened and sliced and replaced the water with warm milk. To cut calories, I did not spread the dough with butter before shaping rolls. They still turned out rich and buttery and rose beautifully! Thank you for sharing the recipe!!

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2011
Excellent-only change I made was I used 1 clove of fresh garlic chopped instead of garlic powder and blended the cottage cheese with store brought shredded Italian blend of cheeses (Romano, parm, & fontina) instead of just parm. Delicious and a lower calorie option! Thanks for posting this recipe!!!

Creamed Chipped Beef On Toast

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2011
Excellent! Used ground beef instead. Browned beef and drained before adding to gravy mix. Added salt to taste, a pinch and a half of cayenne and fresh ground black pepper. Cayenne added great flavor with no heat. Served over biscuits or wheat toast. Brought back memories of my military Dad making this for us for breakfast on a cold day! :)

Easy Oniony Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
This was definitely too salty the first time I made this..the next time I made it I used 1/2 of an envelope of dry onion soup mix and substituted sliced almonds for the walnuts. If you let the cheese ball sit overnight covered, the flavor is excellent!

Local Kine Wontons

Reviewed: May 15, 2007
The best way to freeze these is to use a plastic container (suitable for the freezer). Place the prepared wontons next to each other without touching. When starting a new layer of wontons, place a sheet of wax paper down then begin your next layer to prevent wontons from sticking to each other. Defrost for ~45 minutes before frying.

Easy Alfredo Sauce I

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2007
Great easy recipe-I add garlic as well as someone already mentioned. Also, for a healthier option, I toss in cooked chopped spinach with the pasta (I usually use tortellini). I'm sure you can use other veggies such as broccoli and it would taste great!

Ma's Premium Ice Cream Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2004
I made this the same day of my son's 2nd birthday party! I used M & M's to decorate the top as well as store bought decorating icing. What's so great about this recipe is that you can use whatever ice cream you want. I used vanilla on the bottom and Heath Bar ice cream on top. It turned out great and was so easy!! I'll definitely be making this again-thanks for sharing the recipe!

This dip was fast, easy, and tasty! I omitted the green pepper and as someone suggested reduced the cream cheese and sour cream-turned out great!
