Spicy Chicken Thai Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2014
Very good, everyone loved it. I used lemon zest because I couldn't find lemon grass. I could have used more curry paste, but I didn't add the jalapenos.

Brazilian Black Bean Stew

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2011
It was an interesting mix of flavors. My husband didn't care for it at all. He's pretty traditional in his tastes and didn't like fruit in his stew.

Couscous Royale

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
I used chicken thighs and drumbsticks with italian sausage. It might have been better with boneless chicken pieces. The vegies were overcooked by the time the chicken was done. It wasn't so much a stew as I served the sausage and vegies over the couscous with the chicken on the side. I didn't add turnip or garbanzo beans because I don't care for them. Didn't find harissa and used curry powder instead of tumeric. My husband liked it and the leftovers were good the next day.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
I think there must be a typo in the quantity of milk because there just isn't enough liquid to stir until smooth. My husband misread the recipe and put in 2 tablespoons of milk and it worked a lot better than when I followed the recipe as written.
