A Slow Cooker Thanksgiving

I was so looking forward to fixing this dish and ended up very disappointed. I like the concept, but the final dish was mushy and extremely unappealing.

Quick and easy. I really enjoyed this. Who thought you could make a pot of chili after getting home from work. For those of you who like your chili hot and spicy -- you will need to add something. This is great for the whole family.

Simple Syrup

Perfect for family gatherings where everyone has their own idea of how sweet their iced tea should be. I make unsweetened tea and put the simple syrup on the table in a cream pitcher. Everyone's happy.

Italian Cucumber Sandwiches

Took these to a party. The men loved them; the women not so much. I thought the mayo mixture was too salty. I did add some grated carrots and that was well received.

Tender Pork Roast

While the meat was tender, the sauce was unappealing. Although I didn't care for it at all, the fact it has received so many 5 star ratings just shows that Allrecipes has something for everyone.

Eclair Cake

This was the first dessert to be finished at a recent cookout. I followed the suggestion about softening the graham crackers in milk before layering. Used French Vanilla pudding and, instead of frosting, I melted half a bag of chocolate chips (mixed w/ a tad of milk) and drizzled over the top. This made it more like an eclair. Thanks for the recipe!

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

Probably would have given 5 stars if I hadn't used a low-fat blue cheese dressing. It was way too thin for this type of dish. But that was my fault. Will try again using a thicker dressing.

Garbanzo Bean Salad

BLT Pasta Salad

The only thing that gave this flavor was the bacon. I should have realized a "recipe" that was basically cook pasta and add salad dressing was not going to be anything special.
