About this Cook
I am a Chef and work at the "The Mark" at Shilo Inn. I absolutely love what I do and wouldn't ever change a thing. I am one of many chefs/cooks there. We do a lot of banquets, buffets, plated dinners, wine dinners and off site catering also. I like that we try out different recipes, ideas and suggestions; so that it isn't all the same; all of the time. I love to cook anything at all since I love all food (for the most part anyhow). I'm STILL working on NOT cutting my fingers though, hahaha!
My favorite things to cook
I love to try new flavors and cuisines. Sometimes I will go to the grocery store and pick out something that I have never heard of or tried and buy it and then figure out different things to do with it when I get home. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE (Did I say LOVE?!?)trying new recipes too and I at least find one or more on here a week to try out. I like to change up the recipes also so they are all different. I really love pastry and breads and every Friday I cook for my husband and his co-workers so they have a little "treat" at the end of the week.
My cooking tragedies
You will have to ask me about that one. I was young...

Bacon for the Family or a Crowd
So simple; this is how we do it in the restaurant for a "family" or a "crowd", LOL. I do rotate the baking sheet half way through cooking.

Sweet and Spicy Stir Fry with Chicken and Broccoli
5 Star definitely! I threw everything together (instead of cooking it seperately) and sautee'd it; that easy! Thanks for sharing. Going to be a regular in this house! Edit: I didn't double the sauce at all and it was perfect as per other reviews.

Spicy Garlic and Pepper Shrimp
RARELY do I give not only 5 stars to a recipe but to add a recipe to my "family's" recipe book at home; yeah this one did it. Delicicious! I doubled everything of course; I threw everything together and sauteed it and it was THAT simple. Served over rice and wallah! Dinner's served! Thanks for posting. (EDIT-so I asked my hubby about this dish and he was SO MAD AT ME NOW for not making more, because he wants a ton it of it now, ALL DAY EVERY DAY as he says; really? Yeah same palate and thought process) EDIT: I made this last night and making it again tonight!!
