Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
This is a great recipe! I don't care for tomato based beef stews so this one is perfect. I do dredge the meat in flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder and then brown prior to placing in the slow cooker. I also cook the onions briefly and deglaze the pan with the broth before pouring the broth into the slow cooker. I've also used this recipe to make a fantastic pot roast. Follow the same ingredient list but replace the stew beef with a roast. Same great taste! Thanks for the great recipe.

Waffles I

This is a good base recipe but really needs sugar, vanilla and cinamon to make it great. I added 2 T sugar, 1 t vanilla and a couple of pinches of cinamon.

Szechwan Shrimp

Great recipe. The sauce was excellent. This is a must try for any garlic lovers!! The only thing I changed was to add some peppers and celery to make it a more complete meal and I served it over brown rice. We'll be making this one again.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
Great recipe. We didn't find the burgers dry at all. I coated the patties in a little bit of flour to help keep them from sticking to the grill. Could try adding some enhancements but this is a great basic burger recipe.

Maple-Curry Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2009
Loved it!! We've had this dish twice now and wouldn't change a thing. Our favourite resort serves Maple Curry Chicken Ravioli and we were looking for a recipe to make it at home. This recipe is even better than the original and is perfect served over cheese ravioli!

Beef Egg Rolls

The recipe was awesome! Great flavour, and easy to make. I did leave out the Sherry as others had suggested and I used the bagged coleslaw instead of chopping up the cabbage. Great recipe! Thx Trisha

Sweet Dinner Rolls

The best rolls I've ever had! Don't change a thing. They taste great and are easy to make. The only word of caution is to be prepared to make more than one batch as they disappear in minutes:-)

My Chili

This was a great recipe to use as a starting point. I changed sone things based on other reviews: 2 cans tomatoes not 4, 2 cans of beans not 1, and 4T chili powder not 2. I also added a dash or two of an extreme hot sauce.

Jiffy Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2004
This was a fabulous recipe, the rolls were soft and tasty. In response to the review by Rage007 the sugar called for in this recipe (for the dough portion) was 2 tablespoons not 2 cups. No wonder the recipe didn't work out for you. I will be making these again and again and again.

Sour Cream Coffee Cake III

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2003
Overall this was a pretty good recipe. I think next time I would put in a little less sour cream. I would also double the topping recipe as other reviewers had suggested. It did make a very moist, tasty coffee cake though.

Glazed Meatloaf I

WOW! This recipe was great! I did add a little fresh garlic to the meat and made one and a half times the sweet and sour mixture. It was the best meatloaf I've ever had. My husband couldn't get enough of it. Quick to prepare and tastes great. Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

Applesauce Cake III

This recipe was easy to make and turned out very moist. My husband and children loved it but it was a little bland for my taste. I think I would try a little more spice next time.

Best Brownies

I have been using this exact recipe for years (just modified to fit a smaller pan) but I had never frosted it before. The combination makes "The Best Brownie" hands down. I'll never make another Brownie recipe again.

Anniversary Chicken I

My husband really liked this recipe. I found it a little salty and it called for too much teryaki sauce. I would make it again with low sodium teryaki sauce and only half as much.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2002
Not only did this recipe make an awesome roast, I was also able to use the left overs to make a stew thanks to all the delicious gravy! Like some of the others suggested I added potatos and carrots with the roast and I spiced it up a bit with some garlic and onions.

This recipe was so quick and easy! The cookies are almost too good. They disappear almost as fast as I make them. I put in a heaping tablespoon of cinamon and it made them all the better.

Pork Roast with Thyme

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2001
Excellent recipe! The house did smell like vinegar for a while but it was worth it. I didn't read the part about cutting the garlic into slivers so I put my garlic in the cuts as whole cloves. Still tasted great and was less work.
