French Canadian Meatball Stew

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2011
The recipe I have does not have egg or onion in the meatballs and we roast the meatballs in the oven before putting them in the broth. But the essential is there and very good. I serve it with mashed potatoes with the sauce instead of milk. Delish!!!

Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
I have not made BBQ sauce very often but this one is very good. I'll be sure to make it again. It takes a bit more time than buying it but it is well worth the trouble. Thank you.

Spaghetti Sauce with Ground Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2010
The wine!! The italians add wine to their sauce. When the ground beef is cooked, I put half a bottle of red wine an let it reduce by half. Then I add the tomatoes and let it cook. You don't taste the alcool, it just gives more depth to the sauce. I also substitute the bell peppers for mushrooms.

Quick and Easy Mexican Chicken

I've been making this recipe for a long time and every time it is delicious. It was my mother in law's recipe, while she is not here anymore, we think about her when I make this.

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
YOU DO HAVE TO BROWN THE ONIONS!!! This is what gives depth to the soup. I also toast the bread before putting it in the soup. You put one toast at the bottom of the bowl, a little bit of cheese, the soup and the last toast with a lot of cheese on top and the you broil.

Drunk Chicken

Reviewed: May 22, 2009
The recipe in itself is very good but you should be careful with the can of beer. Make sure that the paint on the can doesn't peel because it does sometimes. I have bought a pan for this exact purpose with a place to put the beer or whatever liquid you want to use.

Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
It is one of the best chinese shrimp recipes I have made so far. So easy to make. We are used to eat pretty spicy food so for me it is not that spicy so I add a little more red pepper flakes or "sambal oelek". I will continue to make this recipe.

Bourbon Whiskey BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2008
If I have the time to make that sauce, I will never buy bottled BBQ sauce again. This sauce is really good. We like it spicy so I added some Sambal Oelek in it. It's a keeper

Amazing Ribs

Reviewed: May 10, 2008
The ribs were very tender and tasty. I used bottled BBQ sauce. I thought it was a little too sweet. Next time I will choose an other BBQ sauce. I will definitely make them again. Hubby loved them.
