Slow Cooker Chicken Curry with Quinoa

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2011
Like others I doubled the curry and quinoa, and used coconut milk instead of milk. I exchanged the apple for dried cranberries because that's what I had. It was a delicious meal to come home to! Very moist, definitely not dry. Was able to take the 2/3 cup quinoa and still be moist. I am always looking for good, real food, crock pot recipes (no canned soups or mixes, etc....) Will make again, maybe trying the apples next time.

Thumbprint Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
Yummy! I have always loved eating these and now I can make them! I would definitely bake these for at least 15 minutes after adding preserves. I chopped up pecans in a pulsing blender. I needed twice as much nuts as recommended, but I like them to be fully covered with lots of nuts. I am excited to finally be able to make these classic cookies on my own! Thanks for a great recipe.

Strawberry Pie II

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
Yummy! I was especially happy to find a recipe that shows how to make this without using a packet of strawberry jell-o! I didn't have so many strawberries so I only crushed 1 cup to add to the sugar, water mix and it still turned out really well and flavorful. Thank you!

Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
Pork Loin comes out wonderfully moist and flavorful. I prefer a more traditional flavor so I omitted the green peppers and added fresh rosemary. I did everything else just as written and it was delicious. I think it must be the celery that makes it turn out so moist and tender. Thank you very much!! I will make this again and again.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
This was a delicious pie even though I did not cook the lemon mixture for long enough. The directions just say "until thick". I think it needs to be cooked for over 10 minutes - until it gets really thick. Take your time on cooking and I think it will turn out perfect! I also heeded the advice of another reviewer to set the meringue on top of HOT lemon mixture and the meringue set really well.

Broccoli Cheese Soup V

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
Delicious with about 1/2 the amount Velveeta cheese substituted with about 2 cups real sharp cheddar cheese. I also prefer the celery and onion to be cooked in the chicken broth. I don't like crunchy celery in a broccoli soup. I added grated carrot and some diced potatoes as well.

Baked Salmon II

Delicious! I put in glass baking dish with foil on top of whole thing. Worked great. I say keep the full tsp. of salt. Thank you!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
I will always use this recipe to make chocolate chip cookies from now on! Very Yummy, just right. I put about 2/3 of the oats in the blender before adding to the mixing bowl because I do not keep quick oats on hand. This worked well.
