About this Cook
I do alot of things but cooking is my passion. I often make up things as I go along and am constently suprising myself. In the world of cooking you are only limited by your own creativity, by what you are willing to give a shot. I will try anything twice, if it doesn't turn out, I try one more time before I 86 it. Even the pros have bad days.
My favorite things to cook
Italian and Greek actually. I like the robust favors that come out of Italy and the freashnes of the Greek Iles. However I have prepared dishes from many places all over the world. It's all in good fun and I love to learn.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Amarican Classics are like breahing. Things that you prepare without really thinking about what your doing. Mashed potatoes, Meatloaf, Pot Roast, Spagetti and Meatballs, Chiken and Pork dishes. My mom taught me all these things and I have went on to teach my siblings, compiling a binder of all the falimy recipes that will be gifted to them when they go away to collage in two years. Somethings shouldn't be left behind.
My cooking triumphs
I really don't think I have any ! Honestly ! If I had to choose I would pick my Intermnational Cookie-Thon. I have baked cookies from Mexico, Italy, Russia, Ireland, Scotland, England, Check Republic, Germany and so many other places. I love to bake and enjoy the challange. My next endever is puff pastry, I'll keep you posted.
My cooking tragedies
Cinnimon Buns, something that I make ALL THE TIME. Last time that I made them they sucked and were tossed. That and sometimes my bread dough doesn't rise. I just start over.

I made these last night because my brother is a major meat eater and very picky. I like to cook internationally as often as possible and he said that he would eat them. Really it's like a hamburger in a shell, that's what sold him. I cut the amount of onion and added cayanne pepper, italian seasoning, garlic and cheese to add flavor. It was a major hit. However, I only used a pound of ground beef and the standard dough recipe and got 24 pockets. Next time, and my brother has demanded a next time, I plan to use pizza dough. The other was just too tough. But it's a keeper.
