Me and my little brother (he's almost 5 now)
About this Cook
I'm a teenager who loves to cook. And dance. And read. And do other stuff. That pretty much sums it up. Cooking's relaxing, I'm sure many of you foodies out there will agree! =P
My favorite things to cook
Wraps of all kind are my thing. Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner, there's a wrap for every occasion.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Omelettes. My dad is the king of omelettes! I have yet to master it and surpass him but I'm still pretty darn good. And my mom makes great Christmas ham. With the pineapples and cherries and everything. Oh, and don't get me started about my grandma's baked mac and cheese!
My cooking triumphs
My strawberry pie that I made for thanksigiving. I got the recipe off this site and it turned out perfectly!
My cooking tragedies
I don't think I've had any yet. My dad's had some though. Two words: fish tacos.

Black Bean and Salsa Soup
Great soup and so easy! I did what others did and added some whole black beans and corn and used chicken broth because that's what I had on hand, and it turned out amazing. Even my picky 6yo brother loved it! I will definitely make this again.

Orange Rosemary Chicken
Though my chicken didn't turn out so well, I'm still going to give this recipe 4 stars because I believe any errors were my doing and not the recipe. I used boneless skinless chicken breasts and the marinade gave them a really nice flavour. I did mine on the stove in a grill pan and they turned out a little dry but I'm pretty sure I overcooked them. Also, make sure you salt the chicken again before you cook it or else it will be bland. The recipe makes a lot of marinade so I think next time i'll half it. Other than that, I would definitely try this recipe again (with a few adjustments).

Hot Curried Tuna Sandwiches
Good recipe! I omitted the celery because I'm not much of a fan and just used regular whole wheat bread. My family was pretty skeptical when they saw me making it for my lunch (curry's fine, but with tuna?) but it turned out great and I proved them wrong. Will definitely make again!
