Red and Green Christmas Jalapeno Jelly

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2012
Wow ! Just became my favorite jelly for gift giving ! I made 2 batches. The first batch I followed exactly and it turned out beautiful. The second batch I wanted to have more of a kick so I actually left some of the seeds in (couldn't find my cheesecloth or teaball). It turned out with the kick I wanted and, truly, the seeds don't take away from it. Thanks for sharing

Garlic Jelly

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2012
Very decent recipe. I made three batches and for the first used the exact recipe. I made the second with the roasted garlic modification and it is definitely the better jelly. With the third batch(because I was out of white vinegar) I used apple cider vinegar and also added roasted garlic, parsley, and rosemary to the garlic which upped the garlic mix to 1/2 a cup rather then a 1/4 cup. The third version is going to be an excellent pork rub for sure! I did not have any problems with set at all but one jar didn't want to seal so I put it in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes and then let it stand. It sealed. I can see that this might not be everyone's cup of tea but it works for me! Thanks

Felix K.'s 'Don't even try to say these aren't the best you've ever eaten, because they are' Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 2, 2011
Doesn't live up to the reviews. I made this recipe in the hopes of a soft, chewy center with crisp edges. No such luck. I read over 50 reviews before deciding to try the cookies. I followed the recipe exactly but made 36 cookies instead of 24. I use a temperature gauge for my oven so I know it was at 300 degrees exactly. I also use a timer and baked the cookies for the 17 mins. The cookies definitely have too much flour and vanilla for my liking. The vanilla totally overpowers the taste of the chocolate chips while the flour just made them more like biscuits. I was worried with the amount of sugar but it was fine. I won't be making these again as they are not to my taste but for those of you who like dryer cookies these are probably the ones you will want to try. I am going to stick to my old recipe but will continue to try new recipes as I love to bake and my roommates love to eat!!! lol lol

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
Great recipe! Only problem I seem to be having is that both times I've made these cookies (and I follow recipes exactly first time round) is that they seem a little dry. Second time I used a thermometer to test oven heat and I also baked for a shorter period of time. Any suggestions? Otherwise, these have been added to my home recipe box, so thanks!
