Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2010
This is absolutely fantastic. In lieu of topping with ketchup, I topped with a 2 tsp of my fav bbq sauce. It was actually nice running out of ketchup, because this substitute would not have happened otherwise. I also reduced the recipe to 3 servings as my charming husband was recently diagnosed with Diabetes, and this seems to be the best way to portion control. Reducing to 3 servings worked perfectly. Hands down, this is my new favorite meatloaf recipe. Who knew that something so healthly (barring the cheese) could taste so delish! Thanks for sharing.

Snowballs II

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
These cookies are perfect as the recipe is written. In fact, being my favorite holiday cookie, I was delighted to find this recipe because my grocery store ran out of these holiday favorites weeks before Christmas. I didn't use the peppermint candy canes because I desired the original recipe, but I will try the peppermint the next time I make these. I did only one thing that was not in accordance with the recipe, I made my cookies just a smidgeon larger than the recipe called for, which meant a "three bite" cookie. These are so delicate, I would make them no larger than one tablespoon before making into a ball. A giant thank you for such a fantastic recipe.

Kettle Corn

It's crazy how quick and easy this recipe is. I used my coated cast iron pot and added the sugar and popcorn simultaneously after the three kernal test. Once popped I topped with popcorn salt and stirred around, but I think I'll use black truffle salt for a special treat the next time, and will definately experiment with flavored sugars!! Easy, fun and very inexpensive. Thanks!!

Rum Cake II

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2009
This was the yummiest of yummy! Made for hubby's birthday cake, not knowing what to expect, but tired of the usual yellow cake and buttercream frosting. I used a silicone bundt pan, and after one hour, took out of oven and inserted a wooden skewer that came out very wet. Being afraid that this had not cooked entirely, I put back in the oven for another 15 minutes, which was a big mistake. It was thoroughly cooked, and in fact, more than golden brown. The salvation was the glaze, and oh it is so delish!!! I inserted many holes in the cake before glazing, and oh, it was so moist!!! This was the true secret. Tons of holes and do not overcook! Thanks for the great recipe.

White Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
I had to change the recipe a bit as I did not have all the ingredients on hand. So I substituted half of the butter, with butter-flavored shortening, used semi-sweet chocolate chips (in lieu of white chocolate) and omitted the nuts, only because I didn't have them on hand. With these changes they were delicious, so I can only imagine how yummy the recipe is as stated. My teenage son didn't even recognize the rolled oats!!

Microwave Popcorn

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
Simply amazing. I too have used EVOO per some other suggestions, but now I add some fat free dry Italian Dressing Mix (no more than 1 tsp. per bag). This recipe is quick, inexpensive, healthy and quite an improvement over store bought microwave popcorn! Thanks for sharing. This recipe halves beautifully as well, 1/4 cup of unpopped kernals still makes a huge bowl.

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Fantastic, I usually make the recipe as is before altering as I feel that rating it based upon my tweeking is simply unfair. Wow, was this delicious. My teenage son even ate the spinach without any complaining. I'm still in shock. This recipe would be delicous even if the spinach were omitted. We loved it, thanks for sharing.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
Wow, I'm not a meatloaf lover, but had some ground round I needed to use up. Only because it was ground round did it not stick well together, I should have added one more egg. Like other reviewers of other meatloaf recipes, I put a slice of bread on the bottom of the pan, before forming the loaf, in an effot to absorb all the unwanted grease. This recipe was fantastic and I now look forward to making meatloaf more often. Thanks for sharing a family recipe.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2006
The entire family loved this recipe. I used two cans of beef broth (14 oz.) and added two packets of salad dressing mix. I have had requests to make again. My hubby had three sandwiches in a 12 hour period which is not so good for the diet, eh? GREAT TASTE, EASY AS CAN BE.

Spinach Lasagna II

This recipe was SO EASY. The results were perfect, flavorful, and almost good enough for my young son to eat spinach! After he picked out all of the spinach, he told us how good it was. Awesome recipe. Thanks. Oh, I used a jar of spaghetti sauce instead, which made it very fast.

Hot doggie, these are good! I made these for a Superbowl party, and they were the only item totally consumed. The blend of flavors is divine. This recipe is a giant must for future parties, or even a "pick me up" when cabin fever sets in!

Best Hot Crab Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2004
This recipe is just awesome. I made it for a Superbowl party and it was a big hit. I allowed the dish to get cold and received rave reviews after it had cooled down as well. The capers seem to give this dish the extra pizzazz, so don't leave them out when preparing.

Round Steak and Gravy I

It was surprising how tender this meat came out. I cooked the recipe exactly as stated. The dressing was a little too brown, but very tasty. The entire family enjoyed it and I've placed this in my recipe box for future use.

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2003
Wow, everyone raved. I doubled the recipe, but would suggest that you not make the recommended quantity of honey mustard sauce as it was clearly too much. The recipe was delicious. I did cook it ten minutes longer than recommended and delayed topping the chicken with the mushroom, bacon and honey mustard until after the breasts cooked ten minutes in the oven.

Breakfast Casserole II

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2003
My family loved this recipe. I feed seven people with plenty of leftovers! I did sautee onions and green peppers with the sausage for some added flavor and made the entire recipe (including throwing in the tator tots) the evening prior. The consistency was just fine. I added about one-half cup of sharp cheddar to the recipe, and topped it off with about the same during the last ten minutes. This was yummy and a new family favorite!

Cream Puff Cake

My daughter, the aspiring chef, made this for a French class food project. I barely tolerate sweets, but after tasting this treat, I would forever make eating this cake an exception. It was absolutely divine. She did buy cook and serve pudding in error, but cooked it with the cream cheese, and it still came out excellent!

I just got this recipe from my sister, who lives on the Iowa border (hmm). I add one chopped onion for more flavor. My six children (small to grown up) love this recipe, and it couldn't be easier!

My coworker highly recommended this recipe. After making it for a Fourth of July party, I've been asked for a copy of this recipe 10 or more times. I look forward to warm summer days to enjoy this cold pasta at our next poolside party. The flavors of the ham and grapes make a perfect blend. Great recipe!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2002
My daughter, the aspiring chef, enjoyed making this recipe at our last Thanksgiving holiday dinner. The stuffing that came out of the bird was delicious. The excess stuffing cooked in a casserole dish was a little dry. I will moisten the casserole version with more chicken broth next year. This will be one of our holiday favorites!
