Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
This was very good. I added left over ham and green chopped onions to make this a meal in itself. I used half and half instead of heavy cream but left everything else the same.

Carol's Chicken Salad

Yum, this was so good. I also added granny smith apples and dried cranberry's and 1/4 tsp. of dill weed. Left out the water chestnuts though.

Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2008
This was amazing. I made it for my dad's b-day party last weekend and everyone loved it. I did have suggestions of putting this into a graham cracker crust... I will try this next time but I bet it's good. I served it with granny apples, nilla wafers and graham cracker sticks.

Four Cheese Macaroni

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2008
Very good. I did make some changes per other reviews. Left out the egg. Melted the Velveeta cheese in saucepan, mixed all the shredded cheese in a large bowl, adding shredded cheeses to the melted Velveeta until melted, then added the 1/2 and 1/2 until the mixture was smooth (using 2 full cups). I added the melted butter to the noodles, then added the cheese with salt and pepper and topped with planko. Cooked for 30 minutes, everyone enjoyed the dish. It had a nice smooth and creamy sauce that stuck to the noodles but wasn't too thick or too runny. A+++

This was tasty. Only thing I didn't like was soggy bread, but my kids loved it.

I've made this twice and love it. I convection bake this about 45-50 minutes and add a bit more cheese. Very good.

Blue Cheese Crusted Filet Mignon with Port Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2008
Boy, this was an expensive dinner not to like. I used rib-eyes and just the meat alone was $30 - plus the port wine and cheese, and sides. I thought this was just "ok". I guess we're more of a southern eatin family. The blue cheese was a nice touch, but not something I'd add to my rib-eyes again. The port-wine sauce was not what my taste buds were looking for, I didn't care for it all and ended up pushing it off my steak. Plus, I just didn't care for broiling the steaks, not the flavor I'm use to I guess. Ah well, point for trying it out but I prefer my steaks grilled with a little seasoning and that's it.

Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2008
This was excellent but I did make changes to suit our tastes. I added 1 cup of cheddar AND mozzarella cheese. 1 can of cream of mushroom AND celery soup. 1/2 cup of milk AND water. I used a whole onion and 2 cups of ham. Cooked on high 4 hours - was delicious.

EXCELLENT! Highly impressed with the way this turned out. I made some homemade mousse and topped it with this. Awesome!! I will never buy store bought again!

This was my first attempt at making salsa, we loved it! The only change I made was using balsamic vinegar. Very good and I'll make again.

Garlic Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2007
I just didn't really care for this recipe. It took 75 minutes to cook, which is a long time for a side dish and trying to time the main dish to get done at the same time.... Not something I'd make again.

I thought this was "ok." My kids ate it without the mushrooms and my hubby seemed to like it. Not something I'd probably make again.

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2007
Made this last night, minus the pecans. My kids loved the dish. They told me to make pork chops like this every time. My hubby saw the apples and said "tell me that isn't going with the pork chops?" Despite that comment, he also enjoyed the dish. It was very good and a very nice change.

Easy Cheese Ball II

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2007
I made this as a test run before the holiday parties. I always test something new before taking it to a party. This made a huge cheese ball, I sampled the day I made it and it was VERY strong and salty. So much so that I could only handle a few bites on crackers. Once it sits it does get better and you're able to eat more. I plan on making this again for a Christmas Eve and Christmas party. I will make 2 cheese balls and add green onion, bacon and whatever else I can think of before then.
