Grilled Marinated Shrimp

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2012
Made this with 3 small alterations. I used 1/4 cup fresh basil and 1/8 cup parsley, I reduced the hot sauce to 1 tblsp, and used Ketchup instead of tomato paste. Delish................

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
Good recipe. I changed just a few minor things. I used Celery Salt in place of reg salt as well as about 1/2 of a red onion. Definitely needs to chill about 2 hours, longer is better. I like it and so did my picky family.

Glazed Meatloaf II

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
My family loved, loved, loved this meatloaf. I used a combo of veal/pork/beef. I also used croutons. Worked out well. Will make this again.

Sweet Potato Casserole II

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
I would recommend twice as much topping. I liked this and even my husband, who hates yams/sweet potatoes, said he would eat this again. I would make this again to go with ham or turkey.

Cherry Pie III

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
I used half sweet and half sour cherries and dusted top with sugar and cinnamon. I got tepid reviews from my cherry pie eaters in the house so I rated it a 4. I am not a cherry pie lover but this wasn't bad and with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on a hot slice this was yummy to me.

Easy Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
I've made this recipe twice now. I took note of previous hints and use 1 c white and 1 c brown sugar, butter instead of shortening, add 1/2 tsp nutmeg, coat the pans with cin & sugar. I also cook this at 325. I make one loaf with 3/4 c pecans and 1 loaf w/o nuts. My family loves this bread. I always have made bread out of old bananas so they have tried a lot of different recipes. This is "The One".

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2007
I made this recipe for a Freshman Football Pasta Party. Keep in mind these kids have baked ziti every night before games which is about 15 weeks in a row. I had kids coming up to me complimenting my Ziti. Thats huge as I have never been a very good "Italian" cook. The receipe was easy too. I did stir the sauce into the pasta before layering and this worked out well. I used a double receipe and it was just enough to feed 40 kids right after a practice. I would make this again.
