I spent 4 years in the Navy as a culinary specialist. I had to cook on a massive scale for quite a while but I never lost my love for cooking like most Navy cooks do. I enjoy entertaining my friends and treating them to a good meal.
My favorite things to cook
I make an awesome bruschetta topped with feta cheese. It's fresh, healthy, and makes a perfect light dinner during the summer. I also make an excellent dijon tarragon paillard. I actually found the recipe here and it blends fine dining with bbq. those 2 worlds should meet more often.
My favorite family cooking traditions
barbecuing. my step-dad is amazing on the bbq and I learned alot from him.
My cooking triumphs
I cooked and served 2 meals a day to 5000 sailors every day while deployed to the persian gulf. At one point over 2 months at sea without a day off.
My cooking tragedies
i'm sure there's is a few.
