Delicious - sweet, tangy and flavoursome - a great accompaniment to a very hot and spicy pork Thai curry

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
Husband loved this but I was slightly disappointed....made the glaze separately as per several other reviews, but even starting it 25 mins before putting on the steaks left me with a very watery sauce. It tasted good but looked more like a very thin gravy than the sweet, syrupy dressing I was expecting.... So - nice flavours, but needs some tweaking! Served with a big helping of curly kale, which helped soak up the sauce.

Bacon Cheese Frittata

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2010
Absolutely delicious! So quick, simple and tasty - and such a good starting point for lots of other variations. Maybe Indian style, with curry seasoning and roasted chicken instead of the bacon; maybe Italian style with chopped sausage and basil; maybe Spanish style, with chorizo and jalapenos.... Thanks for a great recipe!

Quick and Easy Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2010
This is a really good recipe for a simple, easy to prepare midweek meal. I used diced chicken breast pieces (I think these stay moister when cooked like this on the stove top) and tripled most of the sauce ingredients (apart from the sugar and pepper) as others had suggested. I also added some chopped peppers (1 red, 1 green) to up the veggie count and add some colour and crunch. I think most veggies would work well (even something like canned pineapple). The sauce had a good consistency and was tangy and savoury without being overpowering; I will try adding chilli flakes or a chopped red chilli next time, for a spicier flavour. Thanks for the recipe - I'll definitely be making this one again! :)

Sherry Apple Pork Chops

These are so, so good - easy to prepare, do their own thing in the oven - and taste amazing. I used windfall apples from my garden, which made it taste all the sweeter! Well worth trying.
