I've been getting requests for this recipe since the first time I made it. It's wonderful and easy and a hoot to make with the grandkids :)

This is actually better the next day and it was amazing on day one. I was a little put off by the amount called for on some ingredients but forge ahead! It is worth it!!

I followed the exact recipe on this except for substituting the ginger snaps for the crust. For some reason it came out like pudding. I'll try another recipe next time.

Chicken Vegetable Soup With Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
I've made this several times and it's very good. I usually double or triple the recipe and I saute the veggies in butter in place of the vegetable oil. I also use rotisseire chicken. I like the flavor it adds not to mention the work it saves. I use the light broth with less sodium and it comes out perfect.

Butternut Squash Soup

Great! I used a little oregeno instead of the Marjoram. I also added a chopped up apple and a little ginger. It's a stick to your ribs fall/winter kind of thing.

Zucchini Brownies

NUMMY!! The only slight change I made was using 1/2 cup melted butter flavored shortening instead of the oil. You can't even taste the zucchini. I did follow another reviewers suggestion and coat the pan with cocoa powder. It added a great flavor too.

I followed this recipe to the letter and this was not a huge hit at our house. We both thought the topping was too thick.

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

I work at a school and use my custodians as guinea pigs. They absolutely loved these! I've tried this recipe a few times and there are a couple of tricks to these. A) Resist the urge to skimp. Quality is a must. Real butter (I use a 1/4 butter flavored shortening so the cookies hold thier shape) and a very good name brand peanut butter are a must. and B) Don't eat these right out of the oven. They actually taste better the next day when the flavors have had a chance to combine. Thanks for sharing this recipe

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2009
Great way to use over ripe bananas. I couldn't resist throwing a small bag of milk chocolate/peanut butter chips in. It makes it very rich and very sweet, but so worth the extra calories!!

Triple-Cheese Macaroni

This was sheer perfection. I needed to make a comfy food casserole one dish meal so I added a pound of ground beef and 8 oz of cream cheese. It came out superbly. I used low fat evaporated milk and 2% cheese to shave off a few calories and it still came out great. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
This recipe is what I make when I'm trying to get back in my guy's good graces. It works every time. I recently took the advice of another reveiwer and put a couple of slices of bread on the bottom. Great tip. I also spread half the meatloaf mix in the pan, make a hollow and put a couple of thin slices of cheddar cheese, and cover with the other half of the mix and then spread 1/2 cup of Sweet Baby Ray's barbeque sauce on the top.

I made this for something different to take to Christmas dinner. It was a hit. I did add a 1/2 cup of milk as another reviewer mentioned. Next time I will probably add more milk and cheese.

Creamed Chicken for Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2007
The best part about this recipe is the leftovers. We weren't thrilled with it originally and only ate about half. The next day I added carrots, celery and onion to the other half and covered it in homemade mashed potatos mixed with cheese and baked it for 30 minutes at 350. And it was a huge hit.

This tasted great. The only problem was that it was so moist it fell to pieces when I was trying to get in out of the pan. I'd make it again for family, but not for company.

This was a major hit!! I agree with the others, it doesn't look like it will work when you're putting it together, but amazingly it does. I added more peanut butter and marshmellow creme than the recipe calls for to make it extra gooey.

Mexican Rice

I made this for a staff luncheon today and it was a hit. It actually tasted better after it had been in a crock pot a couple of hours to keep it warm - it was just a touch to soupy when it was first made. I like the flavor of the saffron in it.

Mijo's Slow Cooker Shredded Beef

I made this for a staff lunch today and everyone loved it!! It also had an added bonus - the smell of it cleared everyone's sinuses. It did have a kick to it, but the only ones who complained where the ones who had it plain. It needs to be served on bread of some kind. It takes a little bit of work to make, but it's worth it!
