Just wonderful! This was super quick, easy, and cheap to make, and it tasted great. Despite the number of reviews warning against it, I was brave and used the 12 oz. of beer. I'm glad I did, no funny taste from it at all! I used a good-quality local brew (Alaska White), so quality might be the issue that others are having. This will definitely be a staple in our household from now on.

Beef Stew V

This was great! The beef was the most tender I've ever had, it melts in your mouth! The only thing I had to do differently was give it an extra 20 minutes or so until the potatoes were actually tender. Some crumbled bacon makes a great addition, too!

Twice-Baked Mashed Potatoes

This is a great recipe! Everyone in the house went back for seconds. I did make some alterations, though. One of the best things about this is how versatile it is. I replaced the onion and green pepper with green onions, and since we have a vegetarian in the house, I omitted the bacon. I also added a dash of garlic powder. Next time I'll probably use half of the pepper this recipe called for, it was a bit much for my tastes. I'll definitely be making it again! Thanks so much for sharing!
