African Peanut Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
GREAT! I added whole peanuts to the mix, and chicken too! I left out the bell pepper... I will make this again for sure!

The World's Best Turkey

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2009
Great unique recipe. I also added onion and celery to the "oven bag". The turkey was very good, and the broth was fantastic! I saved the juice, skimmed off all of the fat, and strained out the apples/onion/celery and made a fantastic pot of turkey noodle soup, using a home made egg noodle recipe from this site. I will be using this recipe again. Thanks!

Egg Noodles

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2009
Very easy noodle recipe - just like mom's! I used this recipe for my chicken noodle soup and turkey noodle soup. These noodles are far superior to any dry pasta you'd find in the store.

Spicy Sweet Potato and Coconut Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2009
BAM! Great recipe! -As others did, I did not pre cook the sweet potatoes... I just added them to the broth and let them cook. I also added about a cup of left over rice to the mix. I didn't have veggie broth, so I used chicken broth. I also added chicken to this soup. I will for sure be making this again!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2008
YUM - I will make this again. I only added one can of tomatoes, rather than two. I added one small can of green chili's and did not drain the corn when I added it. The corn and the chilis provided enough extra juice for the broth. The corn juice also sweetened up the broth a bit, as the beer does make it slightly bitter. Great Recipe! Thank You!

Hot Fudge Ice Cream Bar Dessert

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2008
Dynamite recipe!! I used fudge rather than chocolate syrup. I also layered the fudge/PB mix first - followed by the cool whip. This base recipe has endless opportunities. Next time I may try omitting the peanut butter, and doing a coconut/almond variation...YUM! Thank you for the fantastic recipe.

Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2008
I ran into making this bread recipe because I discovered I was out of eggs.... but needed to use up some bananas. I was surprised at how tasty it was!!! I made a couple of modifications based on what I had in the kitchen. I used half brown sugar and half white sugar. I used butter in place of the shortening. I also stirred in some cranberries prior to baking. I will definitely be making this bread again. It is far superior in taste to the previous banana bread recipes I have made. Thank you for the great recipe!!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2008
My Husband and I LOVE this recipe. I also suggest getting a good quality BBQ sauce for a dynamite meal. We used a mixture of Stubbs Spicy BBQ and Stubbs Original BBQ. I also recently used this same 'sauce base' for baked beans with bacon and onion. Thank you for the wonderful recipe!!

Award Winning Chili

My husband and I LOVE this recipe. Typically I omit the carrot, celery, and bell pepper. I also add about 2 tablespoons of brown sugar to the mixture. YUM!
