Matthew's Bearnaise Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2014
Ok, but a little too vinegary tasting. Maybe do more wine, less vinegar next time?

Charleston Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2014
Looking for an awesome breakfast casserole? This is the one! Delicious and not soggy like many others. I've also included shredded hash browns (with the croutons) & it's even better that way.

Cream of Sweet Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2013
This was interesting. It was good, but not fabulous as many of the reviews stated. Kind of an odd mix of sweet and savory.

Cranberry Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2012
Awesome recipe! Interesting mix of flavors- I made it a bit healthier by subbing the oil with applesauce and a I used a full can of pumpkin. It was VERY moist! Also, as someone else suggested I let the fresh cranberries "pop" in a simple syrup on the stovetop (1/2 c water, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 1/2 c fresh cranberries. Made lovely swirls when folded in! I also cut the sugar to 1 1/2 since I used 1/2 cup of brown sugar in the cranberries. Kids LOVED these.

Easy Beer Bread Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2012
Very good! Used 3 cups regular flour with 3 T baking powder and 1 T of kosher salt (added no more). Upped the brown sugar to 1/3 c. Delicious and easy! Also didn't add the additional seasonings.

Homemade Chocolate Walnut Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2012
So, a good recipe overall I thought, however much more "cake" like than I prefer or expected given how dense the batter was. If you like fudgy brownies this isn't it! Maybe would be better with frosting? Also, put this in 9 x 13 pan and they were SUPER thick. Can't imagine putting this in 9x9! LOTS of batter. Would put it in a larger pan next time.

Honey Wheat Bread III

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2012
Just "Okay".... I would've preferred it to be a bit sweeter- and I know I added more than 2 T of honey. Maybe a bit of sugar?

Tomato Mozzarella Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2012
Wonderfully simple. I even forgot to get the fresh mozzarella and it was still just as good! Also, I used sweet grape tomatoes and halved them. Delish!

Okay, so here's another recipe on here that I just don't understand the high ratings! This was "okay" at best. Followed all recommendations. I really thought this sounded like a great recipe and we were all quite disappointed. Sk

Fluffy Pancakes

I will NEVER buy the boxed stuff again! Quick to prepare and delicious. I doubled, used 1/2 whole wheat flour and added a little flax seed to make it a bit healthier.

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2011
Wow! Amazing! I did not add the almonds or sesame seeds (not a fan). Also used spring mix in place of just spinach. De-lic-ous!!! I'm bringing this to Christmas Eve dinner and I'm sure it will be a hit. Cranberries add a nice touch! Probably add some mandarin oranges to it as well. Oh also used fresh onions instead of dried minced. You will NOT be disappointed!

YUMMM! Super easy and VERY good. Added onion and fresh garlic. Sweet- not overpowering bbq taste. Kid friendly. Even great with tortilla chips. I'm sure it would be great on a pizza.

DE-LIC-IOUS! As many people suggested I doubled the recipe for a 9x13 pan and mixed the chips into the batter. Baked longer- maybe 30 minutes? Will definately make again.... soon!

Fruity Party Punch

Okay not sure if I did something wrong- but this was not all that great-- and it didn't look appealing! We did half punch half 7up and tasted much better- but still really ugly looking. I will NOT be making this one again.

WOW! These are awesome- especially for being somewhat lower in fat. The kids gobbled them up too. The frosting was a little sweet- but oh so good on the warm cake.
