Home-Made Cream of Chicken Soup

Family has a lot of allergies; this was a great recipe to make the dish I wanted while ensuring no outbreaks. Easy and no one could tell the difference.

Slow Cooker Cider Pork Roast

Wanted to try something different with shoulder roast. After reading reviews, I decided to use 2 packets of apple cider mix rather than one and reduced overall water. I also added ground cloves (about a teaspoon or so). The results were good, which was surprising! House smelled great during the day and the meat was tender with an apple taste. My husband really liked it; but my 16 year old didn't care to much for it.

Soy Sauce Substitute

I am allergic to Soy; and this worked great in other recipes that needed soy sauce. My family didn't even realize it was a replacement! Thanks.

Garlic Prime Rib

After looking at several posts and different recipes on this site, decided this one was the easiest to follow. I do not have double ovens, so this recipe also allowed me to cook other items at the same time. I did set meat out for about 2 hours to warm; this did allow for through cooking. I used a 4.5 pound prime rib. I followed directions almost to a "t". I had no garlic so used an organic seasoning pack (onion and garlic). Turned out great - the topping did blacken, but did not deter from flavor. Also, when I removed the roast from the oven, I wrapped up with foil while it "sat" for about 20 minutes (and finished cooking my twice baked potatoes. I was so nervous about the 20 minutes of high temperature; but am glad I tried this out, and will use again.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Pork

My family raved about this recipe. I didn't have any cranberry sauce, so I used Marion Berry jam, no onion, and a Russian type dressing. I also read reviews and added a tablespoon of starch so sauce was not thin and watery. Left overs were used in pulled pork sandwiches that was enjoyed by all. I will make this again.
