Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
These are exceptional!!! I also, like others, used 2 cups bbq sauce, 1 cup ketchup instead of the 2 cups ketchup, 1 cup chili sauce. I also used dark brown sugar and these caramelized beautifully! What a treat!

Blackened Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2008
This chicken is great. I use chicken tenders since they cook up quick and then serve them over Fettuccine Alfredo.

Great scone recipe! I put cinnamon in mine and pecans in place of the raisins.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2008
I used medium sized lean chops so I only cooked them for 20 minutes, then added sauce, then an additional 30 minutes. They were cooked perfectly, nice and tender. I used chicken stock in place of the wine and milk and also added a little butter/flour mixture to thicken a bit more. I served over tri-colored rotini. Super yummy!!

No Bake Cookies V

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2008
These are so easy and you can have them done - start to finish in 10 minutes. I use butter instead of margarine and I use creamy peanut butter. Also, let it boil at a good roll for the full minute, that way they set up nice in about 20 minutes. I love to make these for a quick and super easy chocolate fix.

Cool Whipped Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2008
Good recipe when in a hurry since cool whip is fast and easy, but it definitely tastes like cool whip. I doubled the recipe and folded chopped strawberries into 1/3 of the frosting for a filling. Frosted a white cake and topped with strawberries, it was good!

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2008
This is a good sloppy joe, my kids liked it. I prefer chopped onion and bell pepper in mine but this was quick, easy and inexpensive without. I used tomato sauce in place of the ketchup and water and it worked great.

Baked Apple-Pecan Maple Pancakes

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2008
This recipe is good and my family scarfed down the entire thing in no time, BUT next time I will definitely do two layers of apples since the thick layer of pancake did come out dry. Apples, batter, apples batter. I also tossed my apples in cinnamon before placing them in the dish, which gave it a more even color, I think. Will definitely make this again!

Fabulous! I made this for my brother for his birthday and he loved it! The gingersnap crust is wonderful. My husband said it was one of the best cheesecakes he's ever had.

Fun for the kids to help make, I used 1 bag of semi sweet chips and a half bag of butterscotch chips. Next time I will leave out the butterscotch.

Crescent Mummy Dogs

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2008
Okay so these were time consuming BUT I made them in advance with mini hot dogs and refrigerated them wrapped in plastic wrap on a cookie sheet and so that made it a lot easier for me. A few tips, it is best to work with this dough cold so if you are slow (like me) keep the rest of the dough refrigerated while you work. These came out super cute and surprisingly tasty!! I left out the cheese.

Apple Crumb Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
Great base recipe, I used half granny smith, half gala. I used only a 1/4 cup of sugar and it was perfect for my taste. I left out the raisins and walnuts but did throw a half a cup of chopped pecans into the crumb mixture, which I made in the food processor. I doubled the crumb topping as others did but it wasn't necessary at all, I had way too much. Served with vanilla ice cream YUMMY!

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
VERY good soup, I am a potato soup lover and this was a great treat. I used 3 potatoes instead of two and also simmered the potatoes a little longer than the recipe suggests, then added cream (instead of half/half) a few minutes before serving.

Best Beef Dip Ever

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
YUMMY! I added a can of french onion soup to the mix and cut back on the soy sauce a bit, also used 1 cup of low sodium beef broth in place of some of the water. It came out a bit salty for my tastes but my husband LOVED it as well as the kids.

Fruit Pizza II

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
I modified this recipe quite a bit, I whipped up 1 cup of fresh cream instead of the cool whip along with 1/2 cup of sugar and the cream cheese for my "spread". I glazed the fruit with melted apricot jam and this was seriously one of the best deserts I've had in a long time! SO good!

Donna's Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2009
Great cake! I left out the lemon extract and made two 9 inch rounds. They came out wonderful and I halved each round for a four layer cake, filled with cool whip mixed with vanilla pudding mix and fresh strawberries and blueberries, topped with blueberries and raspberries to make a flag cake for the 4th of July.

Awesome! This has to be the best thing we've grilled all summer. I used half sesame oil/half vegetable oil. Also I used fresh ginger. Will be making again and again.
