Tomato-Celery Salsa

I added an obscene amount of pepper on top of this to bring out the taste a bit. It seemed a little bland without it, but the recipe does call for spices to taste, so I can't fault it for that! End product was good, it just might need some doctoring.

Peanut Butter Stuffed Jalapenos

Maybe it was just that my jalapenos were not spicy enough, but I was VERY disappointed in this recipe. I had a friend with some dietary restrictions coming for a party, so I thought I would try these as a fun alternative to some normal party dishes. They just seemed very lacking. I might try them again, but I would need to make some serious adjustments.

Candied Carrots

Simple and tasty. The brown sugar really brings out the sweetness of the carrots. I added a bit more salt and pepper than the recipe called for, but I loved it. The taste was subtle enough that I could just enjoy the veggies for what they are, too!

Burrito Pie

I was underwhelmed by this dish. While it tasted great, the tortillas didn't really add anything to the dish, and some of the ones in the center got downright soggy. If I made this again, I would make it with fewer layers, or possibly use crushed chips as my dividers.

Ten Clove Garlic Marinade

I absolutely love this marinade. It's my go-to for beef, especially when I plan on making kabobs later. Mm! Beware, though - it is very salty, so you'll need to have some starch in your meal to balance it out.

Creamy Broccoli With Mustard Soup

I was pleasantly surprised by this recipe. I make a lot of dishes using broccoli florets, and I often have leftover stems, which I don't particularly like to eat steamed. This was a great way to get rid of them! I ended up tweaking the spices, and as a few other reviewers suggested, added a little bit of cheese. For anyone willing to give it a try, this is a good base that you can customize to your satisfaction.
