About this Cook
I've been married almost 4 yrs with two four-legged daughters, Mandy & Mona. Mandy is a weimeraner & Mona is a boxer. In case you haven't gotten it by now, I am a Mandy lover, hence my screen name.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts and cookies, crock-pot meals, pasta, and grilling.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandma makes the best pies! Whenever we would go over to her house for a get-together, she makes a special pie for me. My favorite is blueberry. One of these days I will get her "secret" crust recipe.
My cooking triumphs
Too many to count! I like to try out new recipes, and luckily my hubby isn't a picky eater.
My cooking tragedies
When I was a teenager I tried making homemade chocolate chip cookies and left out the flour all together. And for my first Christmas holiday with my hubby's parents, I was in charge of the Strawberry Pretzal Salad, and I didn't let the cream cheese get firm enough before pouring the jello on top. It was a disaster and threw the whole thing away. I hate wasting ingredients!

Sloppy Joes II
This is a simple recipe for a simple dinner. Better than canned, used regular white sugar because I was out of brown. Will use in our regular rotation!
