Banana Fritters

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
AWW I forgot about banana fritters. I used to make these when I worked at Furrs Cafeteria and I fell in love with them. These are not quite the same but wonderful just the same. I have to admit I use extra powdered sugar to coat! If you're gonna blow the calorie counting you might as well do it good!!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
Not sure if it's a clone but it was pretty good. I had a hard time keeping the stuffing in the rolled dough (my butter was melted) so next time I'll try a different method.

Tomato Soup Spice Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
I had my reservations about this one, but it turned out great. Super moist even 4 days later. I used a cream cheese frosting I had left over from a previous project. Even my husband liked it and he's not a sweets person.

Heavenly Angel Food Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
I've made this several times, it's super easy and gives me a way to use the eggs from my over-active chickens. I made one to take to a party, it never made it there because my friend sat in the back seat and ate 3/4 of it. I got home from the party and made another one for him to take home. Not sure if it made the drive or not, I never asked.

Chocolate Cheesecake II

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
This was fantastic! I eliminated the extra sugar from the crust and topped it with refrigerated hot fudge ice cream topping and fresh strawberries instead of what the recipe called for (a little easier).

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
OMG this was fabulous! I took advise from other reviewers on the raspberry jam and leaving out the sugar from the crust and it turned out great. I topped with fresh raspberries and refrigerated hot fudge ice cream topping.

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2011
This turned out fabulous, I made cupcakes and they were ready in 20 minutes. They were very light and fluffy even though I've heard some reviewers called them "heavy" or "dense". The tops turned out a little crusty like a sugar cookie, was wonderful!

Rolling Fondant

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2011
Super simple to make and easy to work with. Ingredients are easy to come by and taste so much better than store bought fondant. Definately a keeper. FYI one recipe makes a batch approx size of a grapefruit. I made 2 batches and ended up with WAY too much for what I'm doing

Peppermint Bark

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
These are fabulous. I tried a couple variations based on other reviewers and it's just going to depend on your own taste buds. I didn't have any trouble with the choc layers separating, I put them together while the choc was still warm.

Pretzel Turtles

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
I played around with this thinking "real turtles don't have pretzels". So I did some with and some without, I'll definitely be sticking with the recipe on this one. I found some butter flavored pretzels and they add so much flavor to the candy it's not worth leaving out.

Mound Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
This is so yummy, but a bit hard to work with. I used a whole package of coconut which was 2-2/3 cups and the milk covered it good. I'm going to experiment with the chocolate part, I dropped choc chips on top of warm coconut and while it was warm everything was good. But when it cooled the choc chips fell off.
