About this Cook
I love to try new cooking methods and experiment with the published recipies. I started off as a maintenance cooker (helping my wife feed nutritious meals to our three kids) and found out that I enjoyed it and the family loved it. I am constantly looking for the new challenge dish to try on the family.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook anything on the grill along with Italian, Mexican, and am starting to do some Mediterranian. My youngest daughter went vegetarian a few years ago so I like to try anything vegetarian as long as it has some flavor. Luckily she likes spicy (hot) food like I do.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Italian and meat roasts
My cooking triumphs
I've done some nice catering (unoffical) for school, work, friends and church groups. There is nothing like having a full meal, freshly prepared for 300 people and they love it!.
My cooking tragedies
Used baking soda instead of baking powder in a recipie (I dont bake anymore). Surprise rain/wind storm during a festival which put out my fryer and pig-cooking grill. We lost all the food and had to get a tractor to pull out our equipment the next morning.
