Apple Oatmeal Crisp

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
This is the best! Perfect recipe. Easy to make and amazing flavor. I made 2 minor adjustments. Since some reviewers stated it was dry, I drizzled a little honey over the apples (probably not necessary) and others said it was too sweet, but I used granny smith (tart) apples and added a few extra past the 3 cups it called for. Topping was perfect. Very crunchy and tons or flavor.

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
Wonderful flavor and a healthy cost saving substitution for frozen. I used 6 potatoes, doubled the seasoning, 1/4 c olive oil, and tossed in a zip lock bag like others suggested. Baked at 400 for 20 mins and broiled at 500 for 10 for added crisp! I can't wait to make them again!!

Excellent recipe for quinoa!! My (gluten intollerant) nephew loves it and so does my husband (who thinks that he doesn't like quinoa). Easy, flavorful, and healthy!

Crispy Tater Tot Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
The perfect easy tot recipe. I've never liked tater tots recipe becauce the tots get too mushy. The crunchy tots give it an added touch and tomato soup makes it different from the standard "cream soup" recipes that all end up tasting the same.

Spicy thai peanut pasta with pork

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
Awesome flavor with just enough sweet and not too much spicy. You can really add any veggies you would like. Broccoli would be good too. This is very simple, quick, and soooo yummy. Enjoy!

Shrimp Creole IV

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
This is excellent!! I only had 1 lb of shrimp so I used 2 lbs chicken breast. I made 1/2 cup seafood stock and used 1-1/2 c canned chicken broth. I didn't use fresh tomatoes, only 2 cans (15oz) diced tomatoes and 2 small cans 8 oz (since the recipe doesn't state the size)and a bag of frozen okra. The flavor is wonderful. I looove shrimp but my husband hates it. He thought it was really good (I gave him just chicken).

Sesame Pasta Chicken Salad

Reviewed: May 7, 2009
This recipe is wonderful! I was actually looking for a side dish and this is perfect! I eliminated the chicken but added, carrots, broccoli, snap peas, and red pepper. I made it for dinner but just had a plate for lunch and noticed the dressing soaked into the pasta while it sat making it a bit dry. I am just going to make another batch of dressing. This would also make a simple tasty meal with chicken. Even more simple, use a cooked rotisserie chicken from the grocery store.

Firecracker Grilled Alaska Salmon

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2009
This is one amazing dish. I was excited when I saw 5 stars from over 500 reviews and was sold when I read the ingredient list. If you enjoy asian cuisine this is wonderful. We had our first 75 degree day of the season and of course we grilled out. With the grill flavor and the sweet but spicy marinade that I turned into a glaze by heating on the stove and adding a bit of cornstarch water mixture it was amazing!

Egg and Hash Brown Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
This was fantastic! Easy, quick, and very few dishes to wash. It is a great recipe to build from. You can basically add anything you or your family will enjoy. I had an orange pepper in the fridge, ham , and extra white onion (in addition to the green). I also added garlic while the veggies were sautéing and put seasoning salt and pepper on top before putting in the oven. I can't say enough easy, simply, and yummy. My kids ages are 1, 2, and 16. All enjoyed it and I enjoyed the simplicity. I will double the recipe next time for left overs. I don't understand the reviews that said it wasn't good since there are no surprises. It tastes like what you put in it.

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2008
This was fantastic!!! I am very picky...and find myself disappointed with many recipes on this site that people rate 5 stars. This one is worthy of all 5 stars and then some!! Restaurant quality for sure! I did modify just a bit. I increased the vinegar and broth for extra sauce and added about 1/8 c white wine for flavor. My husband hates when he can taste wine in food and he loved this dish (so it was just enough). That is saying alot when he rarely comments on anything he eats unless he doesn't like it. The other modification I made was adding 1 can of italian seasoned tomatoes (another reviewer recommended it) and about 1/4 c half and half and 1/8 c parmasan cheese. I served it over whole wheat linguini. Yum Yum Yum!

Sonora Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2008
This was excellent!! My family loved it including my picky husband. It's cheesy, creamy, and full of flavor! I recommend using 3lbs of chicken breast because it makes alot of sauce. Will leave you with lots of yummy leftovers too. I just seasoned boneless breasts with southwest seasoning and salt and pepper, then cooked them in a pan with olive oil.

Different Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2008
As far as my family is concerned this one of the best! I use only 1 tbsp curry as 1-1/2 is way too overpowering. Other than that the recipe is perfect. Every guest I've served it to requests the recipe as well. This one is a keeper!

Gingered Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2008
This recipe was great and easy. The only variation I used was to add some fresh garlic while the peppers and onions were cooking and 1/4c of beef broth for extra sauce. It was perfect over rice.
