Snickerdoodles III

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2011
I did not have cream of tartar on hand, but they still turned out great! I use stoneware to bake, and I did have to flatten them with a glass to have them cook correctly. Also gave them a light spray of vegetable oil to prevent them from sticking to the stone. Crispy on the outside with a chewy middle.

Grilled Guacamole

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
This guacamole has great flavor. Guacamole is one of my favorite foods of all time. Because of personal preference, I left out the following: jalapeno, sour cream, hot pepper sauce, and cilantro. I squeezed fresh lime juice from key limes and used vine-ripened tomatoes. Loved it! 4 stars only for alterations but would give 5 for taste.

Buttermilk Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2009
I thought this recipe was great! The cookies had a dry, crumbly almost shortbread-like texture. I did not find them salty as in other reviews. I used 1/2 cup Splenda brown sugar and 2 eggs. Will be making this one again!

Cheesy Sausage Tidbits

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2008
These were very good. I had to slightly adjust the recipe. I used 10 oz. sausage links, only 3 tbsp butter, and 1 tsp garlic salt rather than the salt and paprika. I cut the sausages into 1/3 rather than 1/4 bits. You must add water to the mix, otherwise the cheese dough will not stick to the sausage. These would make a great party snack! Also, if you bake them on foil, I recommend spraying with a nonstick spray, as my first batch stuck to the foil a little without it.
