About this Cook
i love to cook, can't remember not cooking something when growing up if you left a reunion of ours on my moms side hungry it was your own fault. Learned and still learning how to use what you have in the cupboards to come up with new great combos, cooking is an art to me not a chore the only thing i hated about learning to cook when i was little was all the dishes i used til i learned a few short cuts. today i can make 28 pans of bars, cakes, in a day with ease and no mess, why i do this is for sales for our relay for life benefit fund raiser for cancer, but can also brag that i can do it with no mess with all the secrets and short cuts mom taught me

Dad's Hamburger Gravy
this is a great version, of course i have my own but yours is great also, i use hamb or sausage, what makes mine a quick easy version of my moms is i use the country style peppered gravy mixes in the pouches, i also sprinkle in dryed thyme leaves instead of sage, for beef use a brown gravy mix envelope, with a couple peppered ones, our secret i love to share is also add a big chunk of cream cheese, i whip up homemade from scratch bisguits, we like to call it a shinkle square pan full LOL

Country Apple Dumplings
OH MY MY MY! Talk about delicious and simple (except fighting the crescant dough sometimes). I used 3 gala apples, cut into 8ths cause that is what i had, 3 tubes crescants, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 c. brown sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamin, 1 1/2 c. fastco brand i can't believe its not butter, 2 tsp. vanilla, 2 c. fastco brand hillbilly holler soda (store brand mountain dew); poured melted butter sugar with cinnamin and vanilla on 1st, than pop, greased 15 by 10 glass cassarole pan, three rows of 8 fit perfect, 350* oven 40 minutes, turned out perfect!!!!

Monkey Bread V
Monkey bread is a favorite of ours. The only thing i see missing from this recipe is the dry butterscotch pudding mix, we add sugar cinnamon and pudding mix to a bag to coat pieces, than whats left we mix brownsugar with and melted butter, and pour on top before cooking, as for measurements use your taste preferences
