Italian Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2008
Wonderful recipe, I LOVE IT! Only I did not add the vegetables, I just added green olives instead. This side has become a Very popular dish with my family & friends! If you let it set in the refrigerator too long you may have to add more dressing to it because the noodles really soak it up. I recommend taste testing to before serving if its been in the refrigerator to make sure it has enough dressing still! Thanks!

Powdered Sugar

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
Used 1 cup of white sugar & 2 Tbsp. Potato Starch in a coffee grinder & was done in less than 30 seconds. Have used it many times. I cant have corn so I use the potato starch, thats what powdered sugar was originally made with anyways. Turns out perfect every time, makes great icing.

Sour Cream Coffee Cake III

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2011
I love this recipe, its perfect as is! I have been making this recipe for over 10 years, its so simple & taste marvelous. The sour cream makes it nice and moist, everyone always loves it, I wouldn't change a thing about it. You can even mix it up, put it in a pan, & let it sit in the frig overnight & bake the next morning.

Grandmother's Pound Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2010
Love it! This is way better than any store bought pound cake! I added pure vanilla extract & a small spoonful of sour cream to mine, it turned out great! Now I can see why maybe a few people gave this recipe bad reviews, if you eat this right out of the hot oven, it doesn't taste so great hot. It needs time to settle & cool. I highly recommend waiting until it has completely cooled before you try it, you shouldn't be disappointed! I think it tastes even better the next day! Great recipe, so simple, so easy to make. I love it!

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
My New Favorite Sugar Cookie Recipe! Everyone loves them cookies, kids & adults both. I just brought them to a cookout yesterday & everyone ate the whole plate. This recipe is Perfect as is. These cookies don't need any frosting, I used the sprinkles & they were delicious! They are super soft too! This recipe was just what I was looking for. And if you want to try something a little different I used Tahitian Vanilla, its flavor is amazing.

Old Fashioned Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2010
Good Simple recipe. Taste way better than any store bought potato salad. I didn't add the sweet pickle relish, and I added 1/4 cup more of mayonnaise and I used regular mustard instead of the dried. Turned out great.

Amish Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2010
Great Recipe. I love Amish Sugar Cookies. I usually chill the dough in the frig for about 20 minutes before baking it, they tend to bake better that way. I also usually roll the dough into balls then press the cookies down slightly with a fork making a criss-cross design on the top & sprinkle them with powdered sugar on top before baking. Also I use salted butter. They turn out great.

Soft Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
Made these today & I must say that are worthy of 5 starts. I have made a few other recipes for cut out cookies but this is the best I have come across yet! I love them, they are soft & buttery. I read the recommendations and baked at 350 degrees for 10 min. & they turned out soft & flavorful. Will make again.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
Great recipe, I have made it 3 times now as a side dish to go with my dinner. Everyone loves it, its creamy and yummy. I used onion flakes instead of the rings, I'm not a huge onion fan, and I added a little garlic powder, it was very good. I love em'.

Chocolate Fudge Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
Love it! I used this frosting recipe to go on top of my layered chocolate fudge cake & it is the best chocolate frosting I have ever tasted, its amazing! I think the key ingredient is the hot fudge topping (the stuff that comes in a glass jar, not the chocolate syrup).

Festive Turkey Meatballs

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
Very Yummy! I love these Meatballs! I didn't add the cinnamon or curry powder & they still turned out great. I used dried minced onion flakes instead of fresh onions. In the sauce I didn't add the curry powder either since I didn't have any so I added a little onion powder to it instead and it was great. My family loved this recipe. I will be making it again very soon! Thanks!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2010
Great Cookies! I added 3/4 cup flour because the batter was a little too thin still. I didn't add the salt, this recipe doesn't need it, it has plenty of flavor without. Great recipe, I have been using it for a very long time.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
This is the Best Cheesecake Recipe! I followed other peoples reviews and used a water bath to bake the cheesecake in so it didn't dry out & covered the outside of the pan with foil so the water didn't leak in. I also used a foil tent while baking so the top did not brown. I also added more crumbs than the recipe called for to the crust to make it thicker and more butter also. It turned out great, I just made it for thanksgiving and everyone loved it.
