Marinated Chicken Pita Sandwich

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
This was very, very good! I marinated my cubed chicken overnight and cooked outside on the grill. For the yogurt, I used 2/3 cup plain yogurt + 1/3 cup chopped cucumber + 3 Tablespoons finely minced onion + 2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley (dried parsley can be substituted).

Southern Grilled Barbecued Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
I used pork spareribs for this and they were GREAT!! Baked them for an hour and then grilled them. Next time I think I will use two racks of ribs... so we have more leftovers (don't need to double the sauce though). Hubby also suggested that next time I add a touch more spice to them. But overall, very very good!

English Trifle to Die For

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
I used an angelfood cake and strawberry jam.... with strawberries and blueberries. I also doubled the custard and added some sugar (3 T) and vanilla to my whipped cream. It turned out quite well... and was even better the second day!

We liked it, but probably not well enough to make it again.

Tangy BBQ Rub

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
I was a little disappointed with this one. I thought the flavor combo just came out odd.

Mediterranean Made Rights (Loose Meat Sandwiches)

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
These were good, but not quite what I was hoping for. If I make them again, I don't think I will use the olive oil when browning the lamb, as I think it made it kind of greasy.

Cranberry Brisket

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2008
I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but mine wasn't as flavorful as I expected. I think I needed to make a sauce or something to put the meat back into after slicing, but I didn't trim my brisket very well beforehand so that juices were too greasy to use.

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2008
Very good! I looked at this recipe for a long time before trying it... thinking it would be good, then having doubts for some reason. Anyway, I'm happy to say it turned out better than I expected it to! Great flavor!

The kids and I loved it with mashed potatoes and peas. The hubby... Not so much.

Grilled Lemon Herb Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2011
I wasn't expecting much because I only had time to marinate for three hours, but WOW they were flavorful!! So good! I massaged the meat while it marinated as suggested by a reviewer and made two sets of marinade so I could have a separate one for basting so I wouldn't have to boil the other...

Creolized Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2009
These were good. I left out the mushrooms though..., and forgot that I would have less stuffing as a result... so I didn't have any to put over the chicken breasts... also, the stuffing was left "needing" something--mushrooms, of course, but we aren't mushroom fans!

BBQ Dry Rub

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2008
I tried this on pork ribs and have to say it was a little too salty. Other than that though, the flavor was very good and I will definitely try it again--just with less salt!

Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
I thought this was a good recipe. Nothing particularly special, but still good. My daughter (4) loved it and asks for it often--she likes to dip bread in the juice while she eats it. I like to use a couple of rotisserie chickens from Walmart for my chicken. I just peel the breast meat off and cut it up.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2009
I made the lasagna exactly to the recipe's directions and thought it could have been great, but was MUCH TOO salty! If I make it again, I will cut back the 1 Tablespoon of salt to maybe a 1/4 teaspoon. Otherwise, would have been good.

Bacon and Roquefort Stuffed Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2009
This was very good!! I made the burger per my own burger recipe (mixed together ground beef, one chopped onion, one egg, cup of crushed saltine crackers, T. Worcestershire sauce, & T. A1 Bold and Spicy), and stuffed it as described, but used Gorgonzala cheese. It was delicious! I was afraid the stuffed cheese was going to be too overpowering, so I didn't use all of it and so wished I would have used it all. Also, I couldn't taste the bacon as much as I would have liked and think next time I will double the bacon, or just put it on top of the burger after it's done. Next time I think I will also use gourmet burger buns! Thanks for the great recipe!
