Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2008
I really liked this one, but I thought it was a tad bit salty. Otherwise, it was great!

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2008
These were only okay for me. Maybe I just don't like the way they fall off of the bones when you cook them in the slow cooker, but I didn't really care much for the flavor of this one either.

Lemon Chicken Tenders

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2008
I must say, I'm pretty baffled on this one considering all of the good reviews. I didn't like the sauce at all--I think it was the curry that threw it off for me. Nobody in the house could manage to eat it so we made a frozen pizza instead.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2008
Okay, I don't know what I did wrong, but this turned out horribly for me--the breadcrumb mixture on the chicken tasted like sand. I am only giving this three stars because I figure I must have done something wrong considering all of the other great reviews.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
These were very good. My husband isn't a huge fan of honey, so I only marinated for 30-45 minutes, and it turned out well. They make great lunch leftovers!

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
My family enjoyed this recipe, but we didn't care too much for the breadcrumbs on top. I don't know if I just don't know how to cook with breadcrumbs, or if we just don't like them! Regardless, next time I make this I'll just leave them off.

Fruit Salad in Seconds

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
So easy and so yummy. I usually substitute blueberries for the grapes. Everyone loves this--kids and adults!

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
This was good, but I thought the cream sauce was a bit too rich for me. My husband, on the other hand, liked the sauce. If I make it again, it will be just for him.

Persian Kabob

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
These were okay, but I think I was expecting a little more. I prefer the Persian Shish Kabob recipe on this site to this one.

This is a GREAT sandwich!! It would be perfect for a picnic, or just for lunches.

Cheesy Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
I'm giving this one 5 stars based on simplicity and taste. I wasn't expecting too much, but was pleasantly surprised--the hubby loved it. Next time I think I will use two cans of cream of celery and a dd a few more croutons!

Southern Dirty Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
I substituted a pound of lean ground beef for the gizzards and chicken livers and really enjoyed this. It would be a great side dish for a BBQ!

Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
I thought this was a good recipe. Nothing particularly special, but still good. My daughter (4) loved it and asks for it often--she likes to dip bread in the juice while she eats it. I like to use a couple of rotisserie chickens from Walmart for my chicken. I just peel the breast meat off and cut it up.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
This recipe was super easy to make!! That said, I wasn't sure if I liked it or not the first time I tried it, but the longer I ate it, the more I liked it--same was true for the hubby. I thought my kids (2 and 4) would have liked it, but they didn't.

Chinese Chicken Fried Rice II

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
I made the mistake of not reading the reviews before making this one and it was a LOT of pepper--we jokingly called it pepper fried rice. That said, we ate it anyway. Next time I think I'll use about a quarter of the pepper and expect it to be wonderful!

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
I thought this was a good everyday meal, but nothing to wow at. I will make it again, but will make some kind of sauce to go with it.

Easy Cajun Jambalaya

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
I've been looking for a jambalaya recipe without the seafood, and this was really good. I doubled the chicken and kielbasa, but it isn't necessary. Yummy!

Barbecue Ribs

If I hadn't burnt them, I'm sure they would have been great! They were still good, but the chile sauce was a bit much for me... just personal preference I guess.

Pesto Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
Very good! I doubled the chicken and used 12oz pasta instead of 16oz. This was my first time using sun-dried tomatoes in a recipe, and it was VERY good!

Gourmet Chicken Sandwich

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
My husband surprised me one day by making this for me and it was delicious!! He used asiago bread, added a little oregano to the chicken, and used dried rosemary instead of fresh--and it was great! He also left out the Dijon-style mustard because we aren't fans of that... Next time, we will double the mayo and rosemary mixture.
