Apple Pie Spice Mix
Thank goodness for this recipe! I was making a recipe that called for "Apple Pie Spice". Unfortunately, they didn't have it at the store. I decided to check allrecipes.com and to my joy, this recipe was available. I used it to make cranberry/mango scones and they came out great!

Raggedy Ann Cookies
This is a delicious cookie! I made this cookie last weekend. I enjoy trying a new cookie each time that I bake along with an old stand-by. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out with the shortening instead of butter, but it works. The shortening and sugar do not really "cream" together. They blend into a grainy mixture. I mixed the rest of the ingredients with ease. These cookies came out of the 350* oven soft as described in the recipe. I left them on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes before moving to a cooling rack. Make sure to let them rest for a little because they will fall apart otherwise. Wow! These cookies are so chewy and have so many textures. A few people thought that they had toffee in them. They loved the name too! My boyfriend is a big Chocolate Chip fan, but found these to be delicious. My co-workers enjoyed these immensely. A few people sought me out for more! I will make these again!

Dishpan Cookies I
This is a really easy cookie to make. My recommendation is to crush the cornflakes before adding into the mix. I did a 2-cookie test and was able to correct this by crushing the dough before making additional cookies. I adjusted the recipe to make "30" and used a medium scoop to make very uniform cookies. I got about 3 dozen cookies from the recipe adjustment. I found that 10 minutes in my 350* gas oven was perfect for a chewy, soft cookie. I used both a baking stone and lined baking sheet. I found both to be effective for a good final product. I took some cookies over for my mom to test. She said that it tasted like a "professional" cookie. I liked that. I will make this cookie again and add more oats (1 cup) and more shredded coconut (3/4 cup). (This is for a 30 cookie batch.)
