About this Cook
I enjoy gardening, mostly herbs and vegetables, working-out, camping, entertaining,and cooking. I have 2 grown children and a step-son and a grandson. We just recently finished a kitchen renovation. I love my new kitchen!!!!
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy cooking Thai, Greek and Indian food, and vegetarian dishes and just about anything Hot & Spicy! I love trying new recipes, new gadgets, new ingredients. Sushi is on my to-do list, Along with bread making and canning.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I can't say that my family really has any. Both my children like to cook which makes me happy.
My cooking triumphs
My daughter refers to my Thai soup as "Crack Soup", because its addicting. I have been told, "for a vegetarian you sure know how to cook meat"
My cooking tragedies
I started a small oven fire while browning a crunchy topping for salad. My son was in 1st grade at the time and drew a picture in school of my oven with flames shooting out of it.

Tarte aux Moutarde (French Tomato and Mustard Pie)
This was way too mustardy for our tastes. I will probably make again, but will use less mustard. I will also bake the crust a bit before adding the tomatoes and cheese, to keep it from getting soggy.

Mexican Bean and Rice Salad
This salad looks very pretty and tastes good, but not great. It definately needs a kick. I added extra lime juice and some diced tomatoes and a bit of crushed red pepper, but it still needs a little something else.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches
Great! I just made this for a group of people and it got rave reviews. I served on a kaiser roll with a slice of provolone.
