Fried Cabbage II

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2013
Probably the best cabbage recipe I've had. Only changes are that I used 5 slices of bacon and I used a pinch of brown sugar instead of white. Loved it!

Loved it! I added an extra apple, used 1/2 white and 1/2 brown sugar, and substituted nutmeg for cloves. Very delicious and moist.

Curried Mustard Greens with Kidney Beans

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2012
I wanted to like this but it was all just so bitter. I guess that's just the mustard greens but I was hoping that the curry taste would take over but it didn't.

Ethiopian Cabbage Dish

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
I loved this dish. I reduced the oil to 1/4 c and doubled the tumeric. The only thing I would change for next time is either putting in less potatoes or more cabbage. THe potatoes kind of took over the recipe.

Pasta Primavera with Italian Turkey Sausage

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
Brought this to a family gathering and everyone loved it! Made a few changes: Instead of the chicken bouillon I put in a thing of concentrated chicken stock, left out the basil, and used a can of diced tomatoes w/basil instead of roma tomatoes. I prepped everything in advance (all the chopping and even cooked the sausage) and then it was fast and easy to make once I was there. Everyone asked for the recipe!

Light and Fluffy Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2011
I followed the recipe exactly (except I forgot the onion!) and it was delicious. I was surprised because there wasn't any seasoning but it didn't taste bland at all.

Parmesan Artichoke Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2010
Very quick, easy, and tasty. I used frozen artichokes and added some american cheese since I only had 1/2 the amount of parmesan. I'll definitely make it again!

Very simple and delicious. I used pre-made turkey meatballs and then just made the sauce. I also added a little ketchup to it. I'll definitely make this again.

Toscana Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
Very tasty. I made a few changes to lower the fat content. I used ground spicy turkey sausage and 2% milk instead of cream. I thickened it with a little cornstarch and water. I also used 4 potatoes and increased the amount of kale. I'll definitely make it again!

Erin's Indonesian Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
Everyone liked this (including my two year old) but I will say that I thought the recipe was a bit too thick...especially when reheated. But overall I liked the flavor and will probably make this again.

I tried to make this healthier by using only 1 T of butter and less sugar. Still very delicious and I will definitely make this again.
