Ham and Beans

Used canned beans to shorten cooking time. Delicious just the same. Next time I will put the cooked ham in just a few minutes before serving so as not to make it tough.

Honey Ginger Shrimp

Sirloin Tips and Mushrooms

Deliciousness on a plate. Used pasilla chili powder instead of plain chili powder because I like it better. Used 8 oz baby portobellos raw, putting them in with the tomato sauce as directed. Cooked it all only about 25 mins. as we got hungry smelling the terrific odors. Reminds Barbara of Cheviot sauce. Served it over No-Yolk wide noodles. Yummers!

Slow Cooker Spicy Black-Eyed Peas

Cooked it on low for six hours, then high for two more hours. After eight hours total, the peas were still as hard as little buck shot. Left it on all night on low, and it was really great for breakfast and lunch the next day.

Added mushrooms and slivered almonds to sauce. Very good, but a bit bland. Next time will add the dijon as suggested by previous reviewers. Might want to try the sauce on bonless, skinless chicken breasts.
