Hi my name is Matt, I am a 30 year old e-Business Co-ordinator (whatever that is) from Christchurch, New Zealand.
After school I studied history at University before moving to Japan where I taught English for three years and traveled to some amazing places including North Korea, Tibet, Bhutan, Myanmar (Burma), to name a few. This is where I developed a real passion for Asian food, especially Japanese food.
I then moved to London where I worked in travel advertising for two years, and back to more bland and stodgy but none the less delicious food which went down well in the cold climate, especially the Cornish Pasties, the black puddings, lamb shanks etc.

My favorite things to cook
I like to go back to the raw ingrediants and make things from scratch, so instead of buying curry paste, a pizza base, pastry etc I like to make this from the start.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Traditions in my family tend to be things we were forced to eat as children and now I will not touch with a 10 foot barge pole...things like fish pie, mince currys with sultanas in them, sponge cake.
