About this Cook
Well I am a stay at home mom of a beautiful 19 m old little girl. I have a wonderful husband who is the best test subject for all my new recipes!!! I have been cooking since I was a little girl and I love love love it.
My favorite things to cook
I don't know that I really have a favorite thing to cook. I love to try out new things all the time and see how I can tweak them and make them truly my own. But if I had to pick one thing that I love to cook the most it would be Chicken Pot Pie. YUMMY!
My favorite family cooking traditions
When I was a little girl my mom got remarried and my step dad tried so hard to bond with me and my brother but nothing really worked with me, until he started baking with me. We made cakes and pies and cookies and candies, and it just went on and on and on. To this day we get together some weekends and just bake and bake. I LOVE IT.
My cooking tragedies
I have a few of these. Sometimes my brain just goes to fast for what I am doing and I just mess up. Like the time I used cream instead of evap milk in a reipe. Not such a bad idea, until I put it in the blender and made whipped cream pancakes!!! Or when I read the directions wrong and put 2 qts of milk in my green bean casserole. It turned into green bean soup!! These are just the most recent ones! LOL

Sour Cream Banana Cake
I give this recipe 4 stars because it really is just banana bread in a cake pan. It is super delicious and moist. I made it for my daughters 4th birthday and she loves it. We all do. I am watching my calories so I could only have 30 grams of it and it was the best 30 grams of food I have had all week!!! I made the recipe exactly as stated, except I made my own cake flour (AP + cornstarch). I also did not make the frosting. We try and eat our cake plain, but I can only imagine that it would be super fantastic with a cream cheese frosting. YUMMY. Overall it is a great recipe and I will for sure be making this again. Thank you Margaret.

Chicken Flautas
This recipe was so yummy. Everyone from my husband to my 2 year old neice loved them. Instead of dipping the tortillas in hot oil, I sprayed a hot griddle with PAM and then put the tortillas on and sprayed the other side with PAM. After about 20-30 sec(depending on how hot it is) I flip and then in 15 sec they are done. I put them in my torilla/pancake warmer and they stay nice and soft until I need to fill them. Also after I roll them I give them another spray of PAM and they come out perfectly crisp.
