Baked Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2003
Delicious! All my 3 children (ages 1-5) loved this chicken, as well as my husband. I cut the chicken in slivers and marinated it in the soy sauce while preparing the flour mixture which I doubled. After baking I served it sliced over Jasmine rice and peas. It's a great easy recipe that rewards your minimal efforts with MAXIMUM flavor!

Pumpkin Cookies VI

I used raisins and they turned out delicious. I did have to leave them in the oven for an extra few minutes because they didn't look done. I also substituted whole wheat pastry flour for the white flour (a bit more nutritious). My boys all loved them!

Rosemary Turkey Meatloaf

This was great! My 2 year old loved it as did the rest of the family. I used dried rosemary b.c I didn't have fresh. Served it with cheesy mashed potatoes, broccoli and carrots.

Anniversary Chicken I

This WAS really good, I was a bit hesitant after reading the ingredients, but it was so delicious. I'm sure it makes a difference if you use a good Ranch dressing too. I will definately make this again.

Banana Pancakes I

Yummy. These were delicious! My children (under 4) loved them as did my hubby. I served them with homemade chopped apple "gravy" (sauteed apples, brown sugar, apple juice, cinnamon, and cornstarch to thicken).

Bob's Awesome Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2002
My 2 year old loved it! I recently served in for Sunday lunch for 10 and everyone loved it. I did make a few alterations; I added shredded carrots, mushrooms, zucchini, summer squash to my tomato sauce(from a jar). And I also chopped up firm tofu and added it to the cottage cheese layer and used cheddar cheese and Gouda as well as mozzarella. I also used Turkey sausage for the meat. I loved using the cottage cheese instead of the Ricotta, GREAT idea, much lower in fat!

Ham Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2002
mmhh...i just made this for dinner tonight and it was very good. I did make a few changes though because i didn't have a few of the ingredients. I eliminated the mushrooms and used celery and diced red bell pepper for the vegetables. I also used thin spaghetti instead of egg noodles. The only recommendation I would make would be to add some seasonings into the sauce for more flavor like basil or italian seasoning and some salt. The kids loved it (ages 2 and 3) and I served it with french green beans.

Fantastic Mexican Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2002
Wow! I was really skeptical when I read the reviews about making two. I just served this at my mom-in-law's surprise 50th b-day and it was the first thing gone! There was only a tiny bit left when I got to the food table. I only used one pound of ground beef but used a whole bottle of taco sauce. It was so good that I am going to make it for my Bible Study group tomorrow night!

Herman Reunion Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2002
I just served this at my mom-in-law's surprise 50th b-day party and it was a hit. I ommitted the nuts and parsley and instead shaped them into an apple (rolled in paprika), pear (rolled in parmesan dyed green) and orange (rolled in parmesan dyed yellow). I used whole cloves for stems (sticking out for apple and pear and in for the orange). They were so cute! And they were quite easy to make, it took a bit to get the mixture to combine in the food processor but I think that my cream cheese wasn't soft enough.

Rosemary Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2001
Wow! This turkey reminds of really good seasoned turkey deli meat. It was delicious. The flavor went into the meat, not just the outside. I used all dried herbs for lack of the fresh. I had a late Thanksgiving this year and this turkey sure was a lot to be thankful for!! Tastes great in leftovers too!

Asian Chicken Pasta Salad

Reviewed: May 7, 2001
I used the basics of this recipe to adapt to the ingredients I had in house. I used chopped baby carrots and jullienned zucchini with fresh garlic and vermicelli. The soy and sesame was the same and I also grilled the chicken and served it sliced on top. Yummy!

Very good. I also added chopped carrots for more crunch and color. I used big and small pasta shells for variety and 2 cans of real crabmeat.
