I love cooking. It's the one thing I feel like I've triumphed over my artistic brother. While he does his thing on a canvas, I like to do my thing on a skillet. I'd like my repertoire to grow as I get more heavily into cooking.
My favorite things to cook
I like pasta. It's easy to make, and once you get the hang of contrasting pasta with sauce, it's like riding a bike. I know how to make a few "Mexican" dishes as well. Steak is no foe of mine, and side dishes are my...well, you get the idea.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't have cooking traditions, per se. My mother learned to cook from my dad, I learned from both of them, and they taught me and my brothers to love food. I guess the one thing you could say is that we come together when any one of us cooks and enjoy it.
My cooking triumphs
Anything that comes out of my time from the kitchen and is edible! I kid! I guess that would have to be when I made a broccoli cheese soup from this site's recipe. That and some cookies I made from a recipe that came from a Publix brand sugar package. A-yep!
My cooking tragedies
I don't know what to put in this here box. I really haven't had one, I think. Everything I've made thus far hasn't been a tragedy. I'll update this when one comes up!
