About this Cook
Move a ton so I gotta have something to do when I'm readjusting to a new place. Thankfully, there's cooking. Been doin it for quite a while now and love it.
My favorite things to cook
I love food with a lot of flavor. I really love Indian and Middle Eastern food. I also make a bunch of Italian and Cajun dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Everybody in my family cooks. (except my wife:) My mom's lasagne is so good it's jaded me to lasagne forever. I've tried it when other people make it and I have to grin and pretend to like it. I'm still far from mastering it, but one day...
My cooking triumphs
Recently whipped up some Pudina Paneer (mint & homemade cheese) that I'll gladly say was better than I've ever had it at an Indian restaurant.
My cooking tragedies
So it was bout 8pm and I'd spent the last couple hours making some great naan and some fresh basil pesto for a pesto pizza recipe I had. Misread the recipe requirment for how much pesto to put on the bread. (tsp to tbsp) It wasn't in the least bit edible and I used all the bread I spent all afternoon making.

Fennel in Wine and Honey
Perfect recipe. In the last 15 min or so, try adding in yellow squash. They are great together, and when served with lightly spiced chickpeas, you've got a great meal.

Dhelicious! The only thing I did differently was to add dry spices to the flour before mixing everything. Helped keep things mixed evenly. Tried garlic and a garlic-basil-sundried tomato mix. Thanks.

Mom's Best Spaghetti Sauce
Great simple sauce. Full of flavor. Try adding 1 tbsp. sugar, but make sure to stir often so it doesn't burn at the bottom.
